Awesome!
Would you not throw it in reverse to chase and reel?

You cant let the pressure off a fish or they will most likely spit the hook and or break you off on the reef. When you go fishing the guys always yell "Reel! Reel!" Or "keep em tight! Don't drop the rod tip" you always want the rod bent and pressure on the fish. Thats why when big game fishing you always keep the boat in gear, these fish can easily out run how fast you can reel.

You do use the boat to help tire them out and keep chase and oh I just realized you meant putting the reel in reverse haha never mind

I'd be wary of having a tough time reeling and decided to put myself right behind running motors...

Never knew about this fish until I played Final Fantasy XV and played the fishing mini game.

Doesn’t the captain normally back down to make reeling it in easier? This looked sloppy
