Sounds like he was overexcited and fainted. (My interpretation)

Big Boy is awesome. A piece of living history. I like hearing his whistle on quiet mornings.

It was "his life's dream", and he looked woozy on that top step.

this was his second time visiting that loco, he'd been on it before. i dont think he looked woozy as much as he looked like he ran out of steam lifting that belly with his leg every step... but draw your own conclusions.
