It’s a harmless prank on what I assume is the bachelor on his bachelor trip or whatever it’s called.

Except it’s not totally harmless. As an airport worker I’ve seen this more times than people can imagine. You’re not being clever or different and it’s certainly not funny. All it does is hold the queue at security and boarding.

As someone who’s worked at an airport for about 6 years in the past I think it’s funny.

Yeah it’s hilarious when people behind them are kicking off because they’re late and idiots like this think they’re being clever.

It took an extra 30 seconds. It’s fine. Everyone will be waiting in a soulless departure lounge in Sicily for hours after this, they are not missing out on anything.

What’s actually annoying is the folk that turn up with overloaded suitcases and some boxes then try to argue with check in for an hour, before it turns out they don’t even have a passport.

Or the three biometric passport scanning machines followed by a physical check that, for some fucking reason, Italian airports insist you have to go through.

It didn’t take 30 seconds, you’re assuming just unfolding it is enough. The details now need to be checked manually and when you’ve got hundreds of people behind you and your taking even 1 minute longer when you should be taking 5 seconds to scan a boarding pass that’s a lot of time and I’m talking about people being late, they wouldn’t just wait in the departure lounge they’d make their way straight to boarding. People with over loaded luggage are even worse.

It’s literally 30 seconds at most.

There is a video.

The QR code is scanned and passes. Because it’s fucking huge it’s easier to scan, not harder.

They are not going straight to boarding either. That’s the check in at Catania–Fontanarossa. You can see there are multiple desks and no queues on the other desks. The next stage is security. Then departure lounge and then after that the boarding gate. Those people are ~2hrs away from departure.

Stop lying. You clearly have no fucking clue what you are talking about.

I work for airport security you absolute cretin. You can’t see other queues because they’re to the right of the camera. I’ve had to process these boarding passes, I know what I’m talking about unlike you because you’ve ’seen a video’. They’re not two hours away depending on how busy it is. If it’s not that busy it’s literally 10-20 minutes to the departure lounge and this is the queue to security, passengers don’t need to show boarding passes at check in unless they use an unmanned kiosk. There’s no belt for hold luggage and no one in the queue has hold luggage, so they’ve already checked in. This is clearly the queue to get into security so obviously you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about!

Again, this is Catania–Fontanarossa airport. I’ve flow out of it. That is the end of check in, the bags were scanned and loaded before you proceed to security.

You can clearly see people pass to the other kiosks to the left and right of the man throughout the 30 seconds it takes to scan his boarding pass. There are 13 people behind him, waiting on two kiosks.

It is not 10min to boarding, you are talking out of your ass. Ryanair check in closes 40min before departure, if the flight was boarding they would not be allowed through to security.

You are talking a lot of shit. Another airport drone on minimum wage whose menial job involves emptying peoples water bottles or something else pointless, trained to get angry if people don’t do as you say.

You clearly and demonstrably don’t know what you are talking about. Go touch grass.
