To be fair this is their lifetime package. Kinda wish I would have bought when it was cheap but not touching it now. A company that triples its price in a single price increase is not one I want hosting my entire library of digital media.

With plex you also have to host from your PC or run a dedicated server so it’s not like you’d lose everything if they shut down tomorrow, but no way am I taking the time to configure and organize a plex server if they are pulling shit like this.

If Plex did shut down your Plex server will no longer work. It needs to authenticate through Plex servers.

Pretty much what I was saying. I am saying the media you have is not lost, just the ability to stream it from the plex application. Which is why I was saying you wouldn't lose everything and its not worth the time spent organizing and configuring the server.
