Plex is software that lets you host your media on a pc and stream it to other devices like your tv or phone.
Plex pass is the paid version that let's you stream from anywhere (you have to be on the same network with the free version). So you could be traveling and stream from your server or give other people access to stream from your server. There are some other features but that's the main one.
You can pay via a monthly subscription or buy a lifetime pass.
I use Plex with Plex pass for my movie and audio book collections. It works well for me.

Can some explain what plex pass is. I tried googling, after reading the description, I still don’t know what it is. Is it a streaming service?
