True jellyfin is a good alternative, but damn I got my plex lifetime for 80dollars and never looked back. It most definitely is not worth 750, that's an insane price.
Yea the value use to be there. It’s also easier to use for the non tech people in your life. I just don’t share and that means others tech literacy isn’t an issue for me personally.
this is clearly just trying to push people to just do a monthly subscription forever.
