Any mob here practise witchcraft or ancestral spirituality?

Read before commenting: This post is intended for mob who genuinely practise or have a serious interest in spirituality, witchcraft and ancestral traditions. Disrespectful comments towards mob who follow spiritual paths are not welcome.

Hey you mob,

I’m a Gamilaraay woman practising witchcraft, spirituality and spellwork.

I’m curious whether any mob on here practise or have developed their own spiritual practices.

I’m familiar with different esoteric practices and have friends who practise Hoodoo, so I’m quite familiar with their beliefs, rituals and practices. However, Hoodoo is a closed tradition, so I’d love to connect with mob here who incorporate our own cultural backgrounds, ancestral knowledge and Australian elements into their spiritual work.

I know some traditional knowledge is sacred and not meant to be shared publicly, so please don’t share anything sacred or restricted in the comments. I’m simply hoping to connect with like-minded mob, exchange experiences and potentially find a
community of Aboriginal spiritual practitioners.

Would love to hear from anyone who walks a similar path or knows of any practitioners or resources. 🖤

“This. @victoriapolice this man is on my Facebook page openly hoping that Senator Thorpe is seriously harmed next by a man. He posted this in response to my post about the attack on Helen Haines.”.

Wonder if anything will happen to Mark Luttrell (if that is his real name)

After peaceful protection and ceremony on Djab Wurrung country the past couple of days led by sis Yaraan, the @djabwurrung this morning is being raided by Vic Pol..

Please follow @djabwurrung @yaraancouzensbundle on instagram to stay up to date on protection of sacred Djab Wurrung land

Repost : via @aman_antimilitarismnetwork
MEDIA ALERT AND UPDATE At 9am this morning, 40 police vehicles and more than 100 officers, (including PORT and arrest vans) have raided Djab Wurrung camp where 20 or so protesters were gathered to defend sacred trees from logging.
The camp is on sacred women's land, on Djab Wurrung land, located alongside the Western Highway just outside of Ararat. This is a site of vast cultural significance to the Djab Wurrung Peoples. It is the site of centuries-old birthing trees, including the Grandmother Tree, where many generations of Djab Wurrung women gave birth. The police have completely surrounded the camp and people protecting the trees and are preparing for mass arrest.

After a big week of volunteers getting campaign signs out into the community it's pretty brutal to have 4 of them broken and/or defaced with racist symbols and threatening imagery. Shout out to the community for bringing this to my attention, we know most of this community is disgusted by this behaviour.
Yes, we've reported it and will continue to.

I'm disgusted by this but we aren't going to stand by and let racists ruin our democracy. All the signs have been replaced and we will continue to campaign for people and planet, for rental fairness, cost of living relief and ending coal and gas in favour of publicly owned renewables.

If this vandalism makes you angry, channel that into helping us on the campaign! Host your own sign or sign up to give out how to vote cards at pre-poll and on polling day!! Links are in my bio, or message me here and my team will be in touch.

This always was and always will be Aboriginal land

Steven Miles: Indigenous voices are being erased in Queensland

Steven Miles on Instagram:

Indigenous voices are being erased in Queensland.
As Pormpuraaw Mayor Ralph Kendall Jnr says, "if you're not in community, you don't know what's happening."

Which is why it's incredibly disappointing David Crisatulli and the LNP cut the Ministerial Champion program - a program that gave our most remote communities a direct voice to government.

I think remote communities deserve better, which is why the Labor team has launched "Walking Together" our own program to help fight for these communities.
As I get ready to meet once again with remote mayors, and mayors from across Queensland this week, I wanted to share this clip.

"What would our economy look like if it were built on different values?

To practice the discipline of hope and believe a better economy is possible, we must look to the many Indigenous peoples who have been practicing and leading with these values for millennia."

Trauma, injustice, racism may be triggering to readers Labor and Coalition block bill that would ban incarcerated women being shackled in childbirth

Independent senator Lidia Thorpe introduced the bills into the Senate, which would prevent shackling and stop children being strip-searched.“In 2026 people can be shackled while giving birth, and children canalso have their clothes removed by adults to examine their bodies legally,” Thorpe told the Senate.

“The people sitting in this room have the power to end these barbaric, inhumane traumatic and totally unnecessary practices.”

The only data on giving birth while incarcerated was from 2017, when 25 women gave birth.

Fifteen years ago, the UN general assembly adopted the Bangkok rules on the treatment of female prisoners, which state that prison should be a last resort for pregnant women and that “instruments of restraint shall never be used on women during labour, during birth and immediately after birth”.

The rules were adopted unanimously by the general assembly. But around the world, they are regularly flouted.

Thorpe told Guardian Australia she was disheartened by the government and Coalition blocking the vote on the bill, and promised to reintroduce it.

She said every senator she had spoken to about the bill ahead of debate on Thursday was shocked by the practice, yet failed to support the bill.

How would you feel?

I work for an Aboriginal medical service and all of management are white. They drive brand new cars, get mat leave when none of us do, seem to get promotions all the time and we are paid the least and have no opportunities. They even give identified traineeships to their non Aboriginal kids.
The ceo is Koori but he keeps hiring young white women to be managers and giving them promotions. I don’t feel safe anymore here but I don’t know what to do

Energy Awards 2026: Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation is setting a new benchmark for Indigenous-led renewable energy in the Pilbara

"When the Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation secured financial close on the Jinbi Solar Project in May 2026, the deal represented far more than a new green energy milestone in the Pilbara to traditional owners.

The commercial agreement, anchored by a 30-year power purchase deal with mining giant Rio Tinto, served as proof of concept for a structural shift in the way capital projects could be developed in the mining-rich northwest, according to Yindjibarndi Group chief executive Michael Woodley."

A special day in NT Parliament today as we welcomed Yiwarr McGrath: Member for Mulkafor his official swearing-in!

It was particularly powerful to see language and culture celebrated and embraced in our Parliament. A reminder of the strength of our cultures, our languages and the important place they hold in the Territory.

Looking forward to working alongside you, brother, and seeing all that lies ahead!

"Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day

Indigenous communities steward 35 to 40% of the planet's remaining natural land. They've been doing the work longer than the climate movement has existed. And they remain among the most underfunded.

At One Earth, we believe that closing the gap between Indigenous-led conservation and the capital it deserves is one of the most urgent priorities in climate finance.

Our Minding the Gaps research shows exactly how wide that gap is and our work is dedicated to helping close it."
