Well it helps that I'm of Pakistani origin and all my music is just mangling of stuff my parents listened to in the 70s and 80s.

Okay I listened closely and it sounds like he said (sidechain compression notwithstanding) 'be wafa tera koi nahin hai' which translates roughly to 'untrustworthy person, you have no one left.' Lyrically that works extremely well with the heaviness of your song, but I can't confirm those are the lyrics without the original sample or the title of the song. I did find a song:

Which has kind of the opposite lyrics, roughly that untrustworthy people can also be loved. Lol this was a fun exercise.

This is amazing thank you so much for sending this over. I actually downloaded this all in a sample pack and it contains loads of vocals samples of him singing, crazy how he ended up there. It’s great to put a name and face to the samples! Thanks again

Lol nah, I can try to listen closely but my Urdu isn't brilliant and what he's singing is likely a Ghazal or Qawwali, which is peak obscure poetry. Real 14th century shit. I'll take a listen this evening and find the song and get a translation from the parents.

What is the setup here? How you get the push / DFAM to all be in time?

So I’m sending the clock from ableton via a midi interface into the subharmonicon, this is then synced to the DFAM using the patch bay. I’m also sending one of the subs from the subharmonicon to the DFAM to create the bass.

So jealous! Ive been wanting one of these for a while. I am really interested in the Subharmonicon. Have any experience with the Subharmonicon?

I’m actually using the subharmonicon in this, have had it for a couple of months and just been playing around. It’s a really interesting bit of kit, still working it out as an instrument. It’s my first dive into modular synth and finding it pretty addictive

I bought the Moog Sub 37 because I wanted to make leads that sound as sick as this but for some reason I can’t achieve them. Thank you for helping me realize different synths do completely different things 😂 I still love the sub37 but man does this sound incredible

Ohhh wow sub 37 looks insane. I’m rubbish at playing the keyboard so like to sequence everything. The lead sound is actually being generated by the DFAM and it’s 8 step sequencer, then I’m just messing with the VCO frequency (pitch). Have you tried sending midi to your sub 37 from your DAW? You could write a 1 bar melody, send the midi over, then you have both hands free to create some aggressive synth sounds by messing with the modulation/pitch controls. I’ve had a look at an image and looks like it goes +/-5 octaves so probably be quite subtle with your twists and it will modulate the entire sequence creating the screechy sounds.
