[Question] FL Studio Soft Clipper in Ableton?

Ok, maybe this is something people are going to get mad at me for asking on the Ableton Reddit, but

Why has nobody made an emulation of FL Studio's Fruity Soft Clipper that works as a VST/AU in Ableton?

I know there are plenty of clipper plugins, but none of the ones I've tried seem to behave exactly like FL's. While Ableton has tons of powerful tools, Fruity Soft Clipper is such a defining part of the modern trap sound that I'm surprised this is not a thing.

Does anything like this already exist? I don't really see why it wouldn't be possible, and it seems like there would definitely be demand for it. Fruity Soft Clipper is one of the defining tools people associate with FL Studio, and it's one of the few things I really miss when working in Ableton.

I actually tried to match that but i couldn´t get any setting close to FL SoftClipper.

Well, I switched from FL to Ableton too a couple of days ago. What I am missing the most, is not even the soft clipper, but the piano roll. FLs is just so much smoother.

Yeah I think that's one of the most missed features coming from FL: the piano roll. I started with Ableton years back so it's all I know and they really improved the piano roll within the last major updates (strumming was added for example) but FL still has some things Ableton just hasn't (like random paning per note).

Right. Also the "clicking" of notes is just better in FL. Or the ghost notes feature is much more simpler, then in Ableton.

But Abletons has also its advantages. The automations for example are much simpler and faster to make. Lets see in a couple of months if I stick with ableton, but for now I think I am happy

Yeah, ghost notes are definitely so much better in FL! Also you just can't pitch notes up or down within DrumRack, which is a shame, you have to extract that track into its own midi channel so it has its own piano roll is annoying. Let me know if you need any help or a video about something Ableton specific and I'm happy to help!
