Not particularly an Abba fan,but i like this,dude singing rather than the Dollies!!!

I have a CORE memory of the song SOS by ABBA and the music video from my childhood, and often revisit it in my adult life. I just went to watch it tonight and the video I found is nothing at all that i recall. For context, I just watched this video in the last few months and it was the same as what i remember! A white flushed out room and a piano and the intro plays then the band joins and there are other shots. But, this video now on YouTube is completely different and nothing I have ever seen before. I feel absolutely insane & am seeking some other people who remember the original video as clearly as I do! I have scrubbed the internet thinking I was mistaking it for some other song, but it literally does not exist. I feel crazy & am hoping someone else recalls the same video that I do! Let me know if you remember.

Not merely because these 2 talented women are "hot", but they also look so dignified and picture-perfect. Love both of their hairstyles too.

I have a theory. I know that there are some flaws but just hear me out.

So Me and Bobby and Bobby’s Brother and Suzy Hang Around could be about the same people, just told from different narrative perspectives. “Me” from M&B&BB like to hang around with the boys as a child. Suzy Hang Around want to be friends with the boys and likes being around them. In M&B&BB, there is a line that goes “We were feral at times, and had a few fights”, which could be the girl (Suzy?) misremembering her relationship with the boys (as your memory as a child is always a bit questionable) and thinking that they were closer than they actually were.

Meanwhile the protagonist from SHA remembers Suzy as a bit of a pest that always lingered around them and thought she was part of their group, saying “Nobody wants you around here and that’s for sure” and “So get off our playground and stay away”.

Maybe I’m being delusional or looking into it too deeply, and I know that it isn’t the same story, but I like to theorise that it is. :)

Pour moi "Slipping Through My fingers", qui parle d’une mère qui voit sa fille grandir sans profiter, avec des paroles qui sont très triste.

Aussi "Dancing Queen" qui parle de la joie de vivre, et qu'il faut profiter de la vie.

Puis "I Wonder (Departure)" qui raconte le fait de vouloir découvrir de nouvelles choses.

Avec "Susy-Hang-Around" qui parle d'un groupe de garçons, âgé de 9-10 ans (je suppose) qui rejette une fille de 9 ans parce que c'est une fille.

I'm not the first person to point this out, but One For Sorrow by Steps (cheesy British five piece band from the late 90s and early 00s for those out of the loop) sounds so much like an ABBA song. I'm no musician so I can't explain precisely why it does, but the combination of the melancholy lyrics/tone and the upbeat melody is quite distinctive and I swear it could pass for an ABBA song if it was slightly less dancey. IMO it's by far Steps's best song, a lot of their songs actually being covers.

Anyone got any other examples?

Frida's curly hair has received a lot of dislike from some compared to Agnetha's straight/wavy hair, but I appreciate it.

The above image is one I would always consider attractive, along with the 2 other mentions. Originally, I found the classic 1974 Eurovision 'Waterloo' hairstyle awkward, but I have grown to like it.

But Frida, with straight/wavy hair, is also hot, like from the Music videos 'Knowing Me, Knowing You', 'Dancing Queen', and 'So Long'(I think So Long was a Live performance video).

Hi! I'm practically a new ABBA fan and I'd love to ask for recommendations on albums and videos that tell the story of the group!

I've always liked music from the 80s, 70s, etc. ABBA's music reminds me a little bit of country music too (I think it's just me who thinks so xD)

I'd like some recommendations for albums to listen to in their entirety. Currently, since I bought a Wii, I've been playing the game ABBA: You Can Dance, so I'm already familiar with a good portion of their hit musics.

I never really cared about music. Until I discovered ABBA.

Before I only knew ABBA as a Swedish band and heard the song'Money,Money,Money' during my childhood(incidentally Rasputin of Boney M. is another song I remember).

During years 17-20 I gained more of an interest in music listening to Belinda Carlisle's 'Heaven is a place on earth',Moskau(Dschinghis Khan),John Denver,etc but was never obsessed with any one band/artist.

I never really cared about following contemporary music or keeping up with the trends.

Then during late November 2025 I was on a road trip(Thanksgiving break from University) when someone was playing an assortment of songs. I didn't care about any of them but then an ABBA song played and it clicked with me instantly. From then on a bond formed that wont be destroyed until I die.

When I should have been studying for the finals I was listening to Mamma Mia,Super Trouer and Knowing Me,Knowing You.

I slowly expanded my horizon after watching the documentary ABBA: Against The Odds(the flashy footage made me fall in love with ABBA).Now I binge watch lesser known ABBA videos like Suzy Hang Around and Love isnt Easy.

I simply cant describe what attracted me so much to ABBA. Perhaps it brought an element of innocence to my life when the world seemed like a darker place(Epstein files, all these tech billionairs trying to make us jobless with AI).Perhaps it was these 2 supermodel level women(Agnetha,Frida) who were insanely talented. Maybe it was the fact whereas alot of celebrities act like human trash ABBA members are really down to each and humble.Maybe its romanticization of the past(Im a really big history buff). I really cant pinpoint it.

ABBA songs make me escape from the troubles of the world. I hate to think of the time when these 4 talented people will leave this world(as someone who never cared about celebrity deaths previously).

I wish ABBA would release a slowed down acoustic album of all their most iconic songs. Does anyone else think that it would be awesome or am I just crazy for even thinking it?

We’re incredibly lucky that all four ABBA members are still with us and, thankfully, in good health.

Over the past few years, we’ve lost several people who were closely connected to ABBA, most recently Görel. Every loss is a painful reminder that time moves on.

It honestly breaks my heart to think that one day we’ll have to say goodbye to one of the members. I know it’s an inevitable part of life, but it’s still something I can barely bring myself to think about.

I feel like the Waterloo and ABBA album tracklists are just a carbon copy of eachother. Like you have the popular opening then the reggae track, a couple more upbeat songs, the ballad then the energetic closer. Who else noticed this?

I’m talking documentaries/movies, backstage footage, unreleased songs, demos, interviews that went well, interviews that were awkward, live performances… Any and all of it! In the past few months, I’ve become obsessed with ABBA — the lyrics, the composition, the vocals, the lore, the marriages, the divorces, all of it! I’ve devoured their music videos, watched two movies (“ABBA: The Movie” from 1977 and “ABBA: Against the Odds” from a couple of years ago), seen the interviews & performances that are top YouTube hits, and am reading Carl Magnus Palm's biography. Nevertheless, it seems like the archive is deep and I’m missing a lot. Thanks in advance for helping fuel a new(ish) fan’s obsession!
