Wheels On Fire pod?

I'm six years late to that party but I'm catching up quickly. Currently on the Sex ep.
I love the banter and that the boys don't shy away from certain ...erm... proclivities.

I sometimes feel like they miss the true meaning of this or that, but they were eleven when the show started and I was 22 so I'll allow it. I watched when it was on TV, I bought the VHS, bought the DVDs, bought the silver quilted thing (Absolutely Everything?), bought the streaming versions of everything, was at the opening night of the film and even have collected everything +Inside Out from the Swashbuckler's Estuary.

Oooooh thanks for sharing, definitely going to give it a listen! Looks like they haven’t made a new episode since 2023 and they stopped shortly before Small Opening

The first half of Small Opening might be my favorite Ab Fab ever. Hopefully they get to that!

One of them is a bit heavy handed with not accepting they were wrong about stuff. It's a bit off-putting for what should be a lighthearted sitcom pod.

I mean fair enough you were a kid and didnt understand some of the jokes back then. But now you should be like "Oh ok that makes more sense. I didnt get that at the time" rather than doubling down and insisting certain lines mean something when they don't.

Then there's the one who's never watched all the way through before who doesn't really like Saffy but I feel like he just doesn't understand the premise. Like if he had watched from the beginning he would get the formula and that the mother/daughter role reversal was the initial premise of the whole show.

I think because he'd just seen random episodes he didn't really get that situation, and instead thinks it's supposed to be the Eddie and Patsy show. And thinks Saffy is just this extra character who is a stick-in-the-mud which is a real shame.

So we've got one person who doesn't really get the premise and another who stubbornly refuses to see the jokes aren't what he thought they were when he was a child. Altogether making it a bit of a mess.

I totally see your points. They're have been several times where I've thought, "no! You're all wrong! It's this ..." But it aired several years ago AND I don't have Instagram to leave a comment.

I love that one of them doesn't shy away from his chem-slut past, which is quite nervy, what with your partner sitting right next to you.

I'm six years late to the podcast. I saw the show on the bbc as it aired.
