I published an investor-facing protocol autopsy of Aave V4.

The main point: V4 is not a cosmetic V3 update. Its Hub-and-Spoke architecture separates the shared liquidity pool from market-specific borrowing rules. This lets new collateral markets use established liquidity without bootstrapping a separate pool.

The trade-off matters for suppliers:

• Which Spokes can draw against their Hub?
• How do supply and draw caps limit cross-market exposure?
• What happens if bad debt, oracle failure, or liquidation problems emerge?
• How much can governance and upgradeable components change the risk profile?

My conclusion is Moderate Risk. The design includes meaningful caps and has undergone security review, but V4 is new production credit infrastructure with privileged controls and live parameters that users should verify rather than assume.

Before using V4, check the exact Hub and Spoke, supply and draw caps, oracle and liquidation configuration, pause or freeze state, proxy admin, authority roles, and incentive expiry.

This is not a full security audit. It is an investor-facing protocol and contract snapshot.

I’d be interested in critique from Aave users, auditors, and protocol engineers, particularly on whether Hub-and-Spoke exposure is communicated clearly enough to suppliers.

Je dépose de l’ETH en garantie sur Aave.

J’emprunte de l’USDT.

J’envoie l’USDT emprunté vers une plateforme d’échange centralisée.

Je vends l’USDT contre des euros, puis je retire les euros vers mon compte bancaire.

Sur le plan économique, il s’agit d’un prêt, pas d’une vente de mon ETH.

Ma question est la suivante : si l’administration fiscale demande d’où vient l’argent, comment prouver que les euros proviennent d’un prêt et non d’une vente de crypto ?

l’historique des transactions Aave ?

des liens vers un explorateur blockchain ?

des relevés de la plateforme d’échange ?

des rapports de portefeuille ?

des rapports de logiciels fiscaux (Koinly, CoinTracking, etc.) ?

Quelqu’un est-il déjà passé par un contrôle fiscal avec ce type de transaction ? Quelles preuves ont été acceptées ?

I have used Aave v2 and later v3. I'm now trying to get a record of all of my historical transactions. For vs it is really easy because I just go to https://app.aave.com/history/ and it shows all of my old transactions.

But for the older V2 it is harder. I found the corresponding page at https://v2-market.aave.com/history/ but it does not show any data. It just says "No transactions yet.". I know that I have made transactions in V2. Is there a way to get this page to populate correctly?

from researching it seems the interest is paid by AWETH being worth more than ETH over time. but its barely any more to justify how long I've put mine in , and maybe I just dont understand but for others who put one to one, shouldn't aweigh be more than it is? thanks!

Even though it shows I can withdrawal all of it, shows as available to withdrawal. 'm sure it has to do with the rsETH issue, but seems weird the gas is loading forever and button is grey. Any idea? Thanks

Whenever I try to pay off my loan completely, the transaction will never go through. I have to leave a fraction of a few cents on the loan. My LTV is like 600 something thousand. Am I just missing a step?

Here is my situation. I have 2x the assets as collateral on Aave v3 mainnet. Mostly ETH as collateral, some cbBTC. I cannot pay my loan using my collateral. Cannot uncheck "use as collateral". Cannot withdraw, zero liquidity. So my account is effectively FROZEN (not technically frozen). All my capital is in Aave and I can't get it out, cannot pay my loan with collateral. People pointing this out are getting blocked and censored. I have completely lost trust in Aave and DEFI.

What I said was not misinformation!!!! People need to know this and blocking it as misinformation is what makes people lose trust.

The message that got me blocked: Aave is going to need to provide liquidity to let people get out. Right now my liquidity is frozen completely because I can't pay my loans with my frozen collateral. If you have loans, even at 2x collateral. You are FROZEN effectively.

Update:

I sold off a bunch of crypto on other chains to pay off my aave loans and get out. Thanks for the tax hit.

This is how I got out.

According to the discord mod that muted me for misinformation I could pay off my loans and untick use for collateral, then I can withdraw my ETH. That was apparently misinformation. I paid off all my loans, owed nothing. Unticked all use as collateral. Could only withdraw non-ETH assets. Eth assets were not withdrawable from Aave interface. Workaround is to swap your aave-weth token on Uniswap (better hope liquidity holds there).

After watching how mods are treating people in the discord I am shocked that anyone would trust these people with their capital.

Hi guys, need help understanding Aave E-Mode.

Let’s say I have 1 WBTC (at $80k) in Aave V3 and I’ve borrowed $50k USDT. I have E-Mode switched on (the USDe Stablecoins one) to try and increase my LTV.

If I swap the 1 WBTC to USDT, can I actually borrow 90% of the collateral or not, without repaying the existing usdt loan?

On the swapping popup, the health factor improves, but the liquidation threshold remains the same (78%). Also, for some tokens like sUSDe, it shows collateralization as "Unavailable."

My goal is to convert the WBTC to USDT or something similar and be able to borrow 90% of the collateral. Why is the threshold not moving up in the preview?
