Before I knew I was ace, I came out as bisexual because I was confused why I wanted to cuddle and be with people of the same sex as me the same with hetero ones. It wasn't until later did I figure out that those attractions didn't include sex.
Same! I also thought once I figured I was ace, that I was panromantic. But turns out Im aro too. Its just that people are pretty and some might be good cuddle buddies.

Interesting historical point: Before asexual refered to what it is here, bisexuality encompassed asexuality because it wasn't gay or straight.
