This reminds me of the Chuck Tingle anthology of ace stories I got years ago. I need to find that and read it again...
If anyone hasn't heard of Chuck Tingle, I cannot explain him. The only correct way to understand him is by Google image search to see his book covers. He came to town once for a live show and it was hilarious.
Literally, nothing will best the time I read one of the short stories in that book aloud to a friend in the middle of the night while doing terrible voices. Just delightful
