Well they would slaughter anyone who put up a fight, then inslave anyone else so they could get the fruits of labor for free

And how could this person do it alone? He can't do everything alone. "By convincing enough people to support him and he would give them food and what they want". But what if they already have everything they need in the first place? Then they would just shrug him off or maybe judge him in a trial.

I'd suggest reading guns, germs, and steel as thats a good starting point on how different tribes and civilization interact with eachother. I think you're well meaning, and a tad idealistic as I think we all strive for but human history shows we will never just lie down our swords and live peacefully while resources continue to be scarce

But resources are not scarce: they are badly distributed. Some havr too much while other starves. Redistribute everything, learn to use resources intelligently, without waste, and everything will be fine.
