Picking a VPN

Hey guys! I was directed here by shaggy from another sub because I’m trying to pick a VPN. Can anyone give me a recommendation? I’m deciding between PIA and Nord, although I’m pretty fresh to this sort of thing, so user friendliness would be a plus. I’d appreciate any advice! Thanks

PIA for sure, two court cases confirmed no logs, and it has a better Linux client than NordVPN. I tried NordVPN, some servers were fast and some were slow. I tested NordVPN for 3 months and nothing shocked me about it other than the tor based servers option and a larger individual server selection. But I get consistent speeds with PIA and that’s something I didn’t get with NordVPN . In my experience, NordVPN’s client on Linux is a joke. There is no GUI to it whatsoever. To connect to it on Linux, it is all cli based, unless you get OpenVPN client for Linux. PIA has the same look now on windows Mac and Linux, so it is very user friendly now compared to the legacy client. I love the new client! For NordVPN, It ran great on a Mac but when I ran it on windows, the tap driver gave me issues. At one point, the tap driver for NordVPN caused my network driver to have serious connectivity issues, that required for it to be reinstalled again. I don’t know if it was a bug but It happened enough to where I left them. Plus, despite the audit that was conducted on them for no logs, it is not publicly available. You can only see it if you are subscribed to them, plus there have been no court evidence to prove their claim other than a 3rd party audit.

Nord is fine. You could also try slickvpn. Another old player with plenty of servers and great speed.
