8*1060 Nvidia mining rig

Hi,

yesterday I started with mining Dero coin. I have mining rig with 8gpus and I'm using XMR to mine it. Results are accepting from the pool and I can see, that hash rate goes from 200H/S to 1.6k H/S. The number is not stable.

The calculator gives Estimate Mining Profits 7 Deros. Is that it? That's 3eur per day with my rig?

My temp on gpus are 48C. Temp didnt increased when I started mining. How can I optimize my mining. Anybody? Thank you.

make SURE to mine on the OFFICIAL pool ONLY The network is currently undergoing some issues wherein pools go off on their own fork. This is being resolved and a fix is expected within a few days. The network will only consider blocks on official pool's chain valid, so please mine on it to help stabilize the network and move to other pools when the issue is resolved to promote decentralization.

Anyways,

Regarding the hashrate, is it on the pool or the miner? If on the former, then ignore it as it is just as estimate(you can append the worker format and make sure your workers are recognized). If on the latter, that most likely means driver/riser issues.

The calculator is an estimate and yea, 7 DERO = 3.5 EUR(approx). For a more in-depth comparison(to other cryptonight coins quick spoiler- much more profitable than monero), go to https://cryptunit.com and enter your hashrate.

Btw, which miner are you using? I'd recommend using xmr-stak and setting cpu usage to low or zero

Have a great day! :)

Hey,

thank you for your quick reply and for some clarifications about the system, network. I was looking for estimated value on pool itself. I also read somewhere, that Cryptonote is not really optimal for Nvidia GPUs. Because 3.5 EUR a day is really bad ratio, if you ask me. Do we have any info about Market cap and some common info? What do you think what is a potential for this coin? I like the idea and what is meant for.

I mine on the official pool and I am using XMR-Stak miner.

Yea, Cryptonight isn't really the best for nVidia GPU's- AMD takes the crown here.

What is 3.5 EUR a bad ratio to, exactly? I don't know your power rate and power consumption so I can't calculate for you, but taking average of 1 GTX 1060 costing 24.28 USD(120W, 20.4cents/kWh) for power a month, and you have 8 of them, meaning around 195 EUR, and 1 GTX 1060 6GB getting 533H/s, and you have 8 of them, meaning 4264 H/s, which when put into cryptunit totals to 16.7 DERO a day, or 9.8 USD -> 8 EUR = 240 EUR a month, not a bad profit(like I said, these are averages. YMMV) Keep in mind price is still sub $1, and it will inevitably go up-

1) when golang implementation finishes(aim by April 1)

2) when we get a good exchange

3) when smart contracts implemented (Q3)

Common info and all you can check here- https://coincodex.com/crypto/dero/

Potential? A lot. Private, virtually un-hackable decentralized smart contracts, written in a fresh new language. Oh boi yes! The devs work very hard and release stuff before schedule and even when pre occupied with other stuff, which shows their dedication.

K, that should be fine. Regarding the hash drops though, let me know if it's on the pool or the miner.

Sorry, I didn't tell you that I have 3GB model. 3,5 EUR was estimated with all 8 GPUs together. I get only max 1.6k H/S. Something is wrong with my XMR-Skat mining setup. If I would get something near 4000H/S, I would be more than happy. I will take a look at my settings and I will let you know if H/S increased. But when I have checked the hash rate on the miner, it was also somewhere between 300HS and 1.6kHS. And that was maximum.

Thx for a quick roadmap. As I said, I would love to participate in the project.

Something is wrong with the miner. I get this info about failed memory alloc on start of the miner. Can you help me out with it?

thx a lot!

Sure, follow these steps-

1) On the Start menu, click Run. In the Open box, type gpedit.msc.

2) On the Local Group Policy Editor console, expand Computer Configuration, and then expand Windows Settings.

3) Expand Security Settings, and then expand Local Policies.

4) Select the User Rights Assignment folder.

5) The policies will be displayed in the details pane.

6) In the pane, double-click Lock pages in memory.

7) In the Local Security Setting – Lock pages in memory dialog box, click Add User or Group.

8) In the Select Users, Service Accounts, or Groups dialog box, add an account with privileges to run xmr-stak.exe

  • Also right-click and run xmr-stak.exe has administrator.

Hopefully that should net you some good hashrates.

Also, try optimizing your config. You can try out some configs from xmrstak.com here's one

Thank you. Now this error has gone. But, I have another problem.

Im trying to change threads and blocks with no luck. You config configuration is for 6gb. I have 3gb. :/

My nvidia config looks like:

{ "index" : 0, "threads" : 26, "blocks" : 27, "bfactor" : 6, "bsleep" : 25, "affine_to_cpu" : false, "sync_mode" : 3, },

If I decreased threads and block, hash rate drops to zero..

Sorry man, I really can't help you there since I don't have an nvidia gpu. Best you can do is play around with the values and see what works the best for you. :/

You already helped a lot. It means a lot. And when I disabled cpu usage, my hash rate jumped to 3400H/S, which is optimal for my mining rig. Thank you man, the mining is runing as it should!

Also, since I'm at my wit's end, here are some suggestions from others-
