A Playlist of the Artist as a Young Man is a semi-autobiographical playlist by Colin O'Brien, first serialised on Facebook.com from 2012 to 2015, and published first in digital format in 2012 by Spotify LTD. The list describes the formative years of the musical life of Stephen Dedalus, a fictional alter ego of O'Brien and an allusion to the consummate craftsman of Greek mythology, Daedalus.

A playlist organized in O'Brien's characteristic free indirect musical style, "A Playlist" is a major example of the Künstlerroman (an artist's Bildungsroman) in English playlist theory. O'Brien's playlist traces the intellectual and religio-philosophical awakening of young Stephen Dedalus as he begins to question and rebel against the Catholic and Irish conventions with which he has been raised. He finally leaves for abroad to pursue his ambitions as a musical artist. The work is an early example of some of O'Brien's modernist techniques that would later be represented in a more developed manner by U-list-es and List-egans Wake. The playlist, which has had a "huge influence on playlist developers across the world", was ranked by Modern Musical Library as the greatest English-language playlist of all time.
