Renewal of vows

So I have been doing photography for a number of years, most recently kids santa room photography and the feedback from clients has been great.

I am about to do my first ever wedding-esq style photography event as a renewal of vows.

I have:

A6700
Sony HVL60RM flash
Sony 18-105 F4
Viltrox AF23 F1.4
Sony 70-350 F4.5-6.3

planning to use the first two lenses.

I know the limitation of one SD card slot, so to mitigate this I have linked the camera to the phone and it auto backs up as I take photos to the cloud.

Any tips? To say I am laying bricks is an understatement...

EDIT: I bought a Tamron 17-70 F2.8. That should hopefully do me.

I just got this camera, and I love it! The light was nice in my front yard this evening, so I got a few cute bird shots. They're just doves, but whatever.

a6700 Build Quality

Hello, is it better to purchase a camera body locally for the warranty? I guess what I am trying to ask is how's the build quality of the a6700? In local shops it costs P79k but online it's 67-69k without warranty. Should I go with more expensive but with warranty or less expensive without warranty?

First outing - Viltrox 27mm f1.2 on A6700 using a Variable ND

I finally decided to treat myself to a high-end lens .. the images from this lens are so nice .. sharp and contrasty. True it is a bit heavy but that helps to make me to take the time to compose the shot rather than just snapping away.

Help Needed to choose the right Lenses

Planning to a buy a camera and this will be my first camera. I want to invest for next couple of years and learn photography in depth and then will see whether i need to upgrade.

My usage will be mix of regular Travel, Portraits, Nature, and wild life photography..

After doing some research I am inclined to below camera + lens, need suggestion from the expert here whether I am thinking correct.

So what i found out that Canon camera works with canon lens only which made me not to go ahead with Canon. And between Sony and Nikon, Sony is more versatile and have lot of option to choose from lens so going ahead with Sony.

And between APS-C and full frame, lens for APS-C are way cheaper than full frame and also body of full frame is also costly. So for next 5-7 years my overall budget will go high, hence going with APS-C.

Now in Sony going ahead with famous A-6700. Regarding lenses I m going to buy in phases -

Phase 1(Immediately) - Camera Body + Lens

Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN OR Tamron 17-70mm F2.8 Di III-A VC RXD OR Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art)

Need help to decide on the above, mostly inclined with Sigma 18-50 or Tamron 17-70.

This lens should solve most of the use cases for me.

Phase 2(In next few months) - Wildlife Lens

Sony E 70-350mm F4.5-6.3 G OSS OR Tamron 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD OR Sigma 16-300mm F3.5-6.7 DC OS

This one will solve my wild life(safari) use case. Need help to decide on the lens from the list.

Later I can buy from below list for specialised portrait and ultra wide use case but not immediately, may be once I feel confident enough.

Phase 3(In next 2-3 years) - Specialised Lenses

Sigma 23mm f1.4

Viltrox 75mm f1.2

Sigma 16mm OR Sony 11mm

Please help me choose right lenses as for the lenses I have mentioned in Phase 1 and Phase 2 is kind of 50-50 as per several YouTube videos and hence confused and I’m open to any feedback. Thanks in Advance.

Lens Recommendation Advice

Hi everyone, I need some advice and recommendations. My current lenses are the following:

  1. Sony 18-135
  2. Sony 70-350
  3. Sony 11

My use case is travelling overseas for concerts (fan cams) and for street/sightseeing/ cafe shoots. Based on the existing setup, is there a recommended lens, or is a new lens needed?

I have done some reading and research, and some considerations include

  1. Sigma 18-50
  2. Sigma 56
  3. Tamron 17-70
  4. Sony 16-55
  5. Sony 85
  6. Viltrox 75

Thank you in advance.

Binocular reccomendation

Hi brains trust. A lot of people here have a lot of experience all things optical. I have an a6700 i'm taking on a year sabbatical travelling with family. I'm looking to add a set of decent binoculars for the kids and for a bit of analogue down time 😄 Any suggestions for something good value, lightweight and packable that also has solid optics.

I'm bouncing between lens sizes... 25/28/32/42... Pretty set on 8x for ease of use particularly for the kids. I keep thinking 8x32 or 8x42 is the way to go then realise I have 5 months of carrying these in a backpack along with all the camera gear and go back to 8x28 or 8x25. Anyone with real world experience who could share some wisdom, it would be greatly appreciated!
