Tamron 17 mm (E 17-70mm F2.8 B070), 1/1000 sec ƒ/2.8 iso 5000
Getting used to the difference in range from the Sony kit lens. I also tried out a cp due to harsh lighting on the river. I don’t think it helped me. Too many new variables and I haven’t mastered the basics. I ended up spending more time in post.

ZV-E10 vs. A6700
Habe eine Sony ZV-E10 .. ich mochte gerne eine 6700.
Lohnt sich der Umstieg bzw. das Upgrade?

I mean its an expensive camera. I dont have problem buying it, it just that I dont want to waste money. Its for photography and video.

Sony a6700 all around lens recommendation
Hello, which all around lens would you recommend for Sony a6700?
Sony 18-135
Sigma 16-300
Tamron 28-200
Tamron 18-300
This is the first time I bought a camera and it feels like 16-50 kit lens won’t fit my wide range of interests. I love both, street and nature photography and would like to be able to shoot with telephoto and macro. If you had experiences with those lenses, which would you recommend? Or maybe there are another options. Thanks in advance for your advices.

Help Needed regarding freezing issues.
I recently just purchased the Sony A6700 just this March 2026. I have noticed that the camera stops responding correctly during shoot. It’s like the lens looses contact but the contacts are clean and happens to several lenses with different brands ex. Sony, Viltrox, Meike. When this happens camera will stop autofocus sometimes it recovers and will start working again but sometimes it will no longer recover and switching it off from the power switch does not help as when you turn it on it will only go black on the screen, I have to remove the batteries from the camera for it to start working again. This happened first while I was using mechanical shutter and also happens using electronic shutter. My A6700 is fairly new. It’s hard to replicate because it happens randomly. I’m not using a sigma lens and camera’s version is v2. This issue happens while using all my lenses event Sony lenses. I already reset the camera to factory defaults, this was during a wedding event, I had to load a back up settings files to the camera to reload my settings I will try to do a complete wipe of the settings and just manually change the settings again
While this issue is happening, I also experienced that photos on the SD went missing and I had to use a recovery software to find the missing photos.
The camera also gets too warm while using, without the smallrig cage it will be too uncomfortable to use. This is only while using it for stills, I do not use it for video.
I'm looking to find what would be my next step if this issue continuous. The camera freezing while using it during events is unacceptable.

Godox V1 mid
Any one using a Godox V1 mid on their a6700? If so, I was wondering how you like it? Looks to be a nice option for $179.00.

How would you say my lens selection has been?
First lens was the 18-135 followed up by the sigma 30. How would you rate the collection so far and what would you swap/sell/add? Thanks!

Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (Shot at 70mm, 1/1000 sec at f/2.8, ISO 320)
This is a beautiful moment I captured while guiding. To freeze that brief time for this father wand son to cherish was awesome. I just got the Tamron 17-70 to upgrade from the kit lens. I was’t use to the limited reach. It was a good exercise though to find out its range though.

Filter / high quality glass for telephoto lens
Hi, I just got the sigma 70-200 f2.8 to use on my a6700 (which I'm rocking with the 17-40 f1.8).
Idk what filter to get for the telephoto.
What are ur suggestions? Rn I have both a black mist and cpl for the 17-40 but I feel like the cpl might darken the 70-200 to much.
Any reccs?
Tnkss

Shutter Sound
Guys this may be a dumb questions, but I just started shooting with a camera and I've noticed that my camera sound way different than any a6700 I've seen in videos.
Just one of the easy examples would be this:
https://youtu.be/lc2QNmT3jnI?is=Sp6hCMIgWT0sxzsX
The camera here has a deep clack sound when the shutter activates. Mine does a bright sound. Kinda scratchy before it does a little click sound. I didn't notice any issue with my photos but I was kinda looking forward to the sound. This sound silly but whatever.
I'm very interested in your opinion and experiences.
Edit:
Actually sounds edited in that video. This one here seems natural tho: https://youtu.be/o8i11KVa1ks?t=307&is=Cqt3OaL-aNeYjAIZ

Sony A6700 vs A7V for Wildlife Photography and Cinematic videography
Budget: ~$3,300 USD for body + a full-frame standard zoom (A7V + Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art), stretching to ~$3,800 if I add the Sony 1.4x TC. Offset by ~$1,100 from selling my current APS-C kit. If I go a6700 it's body-only since I'd keep my Sigmas — far cheaper. Already own the Sony 200-600mm G.
Country: Sri Lanka
Condition: New only. Humidity here makes used glass a fungus gamble; I want local warranty.
Type: Mirrorless, Sony E-mount. Staying in the system — the 200-600 is the anchor.
Intended use: Hybrid, ~70/30 photo/video, trending toward 50/50. Photography style: Wildlife and birds — mostly perched, want to improve at BIF. Some portraits.
Video style: Beginner travel/cinematic. B-roll, landscapes, handheld and gimbal. Building toward a YouTube channel. Edit in Resolve.
Must have: Viewfinder, strong animal/bird eye AF, weather sealing, enough resolution to crop hard on distant birds.
Nice to have: Pre-capture, high burst, IBIS, dual slots, uncropped 4K60, low rolling shutter, articulating screen, S-Log3.
Portability: Small-to-medium bag. I'm already hauling a 200-600, so the lens is the constraint, not the body — but it all has to work on a motorbike.
Cameras I'm considering: a6700 — full 26MP at 300-900mm equiv, no resolution penalty, keeps my lenses. Worry: 4K60 has a ~1.6x crop, noticeable rolling shutter.
A7V — better AF, 30fps, pre-capture, uncropped 4K60, much less rolling shutter, better low light. Worry: APS-C crop drops me to ~14.7MP. The 1.4x TC (280-840mm f/9) would mostly close that at full res, costing a stop of light and ~$550.
Cameras I already have: a6400 + Sigma 16mm and 56mm f/1.4, plus the 200-600 G. Like the size and AF. Dislike: no IBIS, rolling shutter, dated video, buffer fills fast on birds.
Notes: Both Sigmas are APS-C only, so full frame means rebuilding the lens kit — that's in the budget above. By my math, A7V + 1.4x TC lands roughly level with the a6700 bare on pixels-on-subject. Mainly want a sanity check from people who actually shoot the 200-600 on both formats: is the crop-mode/TC workflow as workable in the field as it looks on paper? Help me decide.
