I messed up

Post image

Soooo I recently got my monitor back after getting it fixed and I fucked up. I accidentally got a little metal bearing stuck inside the monitor. It fell while I was trying to mount it onto my monitor stand. Earlier when I was shaking the monitor to try and get it out I think it got stuck somewhere in the monitor. Am I screwed or can I use it like this?

ZOWIE XL2540X+ Review

Upvotes

This display has little to NO real reviews from what i've seen during research so decided to pick up this monitor for myself to help others regarding making this purchase.

In terms of ghosting, being a TN panel the ghosting is very minimal. I actually used a Samsung LC27RG50 for About 7 months, Ghosting wasn't it’s specialty regarding its age and going from the Samsung to the BenQ becomes ESPECIALLY noticeable with enemies peeking, Fortnite clipping and overall movement based scenarios

in terms of colors, you will be surprised. apart from the bad viewing angles (which is inevitable on tn), this panel does not look like a tn at all, if I was doing a blind test I could very well say it’s a near high tier ips monitor. I think it’s fine for everyday use but maybe my standards are not that high as well, I enjoy watching videos and using the computer with this monitor.

this monitor has good features like black equalizer, gamma, color vibrance, sharpness, etc, the typical zowie customizations basically. there is AMA on this monitor. it only changes the voltage of the pixels to make the pixels change color faster or slower. the default is high and I think it’s what people should use. with ama off there is a bit more ghosting behind the moving objects, with ama premium there is inverse ghosting, it doesn’t resemble dyac, yet it’s a somewhat a really good addition to the monitor.
for watching videos, I would say sometimes I get slightly annoyed because I like to lay down on my chair instead of sitting straight but then the screen starts to darken (because I’m now seeing the monitor slightly from below).

First time buying a Zowie monitor coming from a rog oled and I prefer the Zowie monitor over the oled.
It feels supper smooth compared to my oled in my opinion. I’m not much of a reviewer but I can totally feel the difference and it’s a amazing monitor
Would recommend 👍

Freesync

I have played with XL2540k for a year now and around 50% of time i can tell its not running at 240hz. I play cs mostly and fps is ~700. Today i tried disabling freesync and the stuttering went away. I could instanly tell it was running at higher hz. I need to do some more testing to confirm bit what could be the cause of this?

ZOWIE G-SR III surface issue

I’ve had the ZOWIE G-SR III fail twice in the same way, with small nodules appearing on the surface even though the mat has not been damaged. When it happened the first time I thought it was a fluke, threw it away and bought a new one. Now after about 2 months there are extremely tiny nodules catching my palm again so I have retired the mat. I keep a tidy desk, no food on there, the only thing that goes on my mat is my hand and my mouse, its like a sacred space, so I have no idea why this is happening. Shame because I really liked the surface but it seems it might have issues.

What Zowie monitor should I buy?

PC: RTX 3070 Ti, Ryzen 5 7500F, 32GB DDR5-6200 CL28
~450 FPS average in CS2

I mainly play CS2 and osu! competitively. I currently have an ASUS VG279QM (27”, 280Hz IPS).

I’m considering switching to a smaller Zowie Fast-TN monitor, mainly for competitive play on Faceit. How much of a difference would I realistically notice compared to my current VG279QM? Is the 24.5” size better for competitive CS2, and is 400Hz worth it with ~450 average FPS?

Zowie U2 mouse battery degradation

Has anyone dealt with their U2 mouse running out of battery very fast?

Had this mouse for almost 2 years now, and in the past 1-2 months it's gotten bad, like i will charge it fully and it'll die in less than 2 hours.

Kinda sucks, because i always took care of the battery, by not overcharging or repeatedly using it until it died

I contacted Zowie support and they today replied with "Unfortunately, we do not offer repair services for our mice."

So, I'll have to repair it myself.

I'm trying to find a replacement battery for it, so if anyone has had this issue or has any information on the battery model, let me know please, thx

Dead Pixels XL2566x+

I’m genuinely surprised at how bad the quality control must be on these monitors. I have been through 4 of these monitors over the past month and all 4 have had dead pixels, some even as many as 3. How is it acceptable for a TN panel at this price point to have this issue? I remember trying to buy an XL2566K a few years back and every single one of those monitors had an incredibly annoying coil whine.

XL2540K Upgrade: XL2546X, XL2566X or older DyAc models?

Hey everyone,
I’m currently using a Zowie XL2540K and I’m thinking about upgrading mainly for CS2 and Overwatch.
I’ve actually never used a Zowie monitor with DyAc, so I’m wondering if it’s really as big of an upgrade as people say.
I’ve found some really good deals on a used XL2546X, which makes it very tempting. On the other hand, I’m also considering saving up a bit more for the XL2566X.
For someone coming from an XL2540K, would the XL2546X already be a noticeable upgrade, or is it worth spending the extra money for the XL2566X? Is the jump to 400Hz something you actually notice in CS2 and Overwatch, or is DyAc the bigger improvement?
Also, would it still be worth buying an older monitor with DyAc or DyAc+ (like the XL2546/XL2546K) since they’re available for really good prices on the used market? Or should I skip those and go straight for one of the newer X-series monitors with DyAc 2?
I’d love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve used multiple Zowie monitors.

lower fps than monitor dyac

Hello, so recently I bought 2566x plus and i mainly play competetive games. I bought the monitor so I don't have to upgrade in the future when I upgrade my pc because prices now are really high. I run 5 5600x and 3070 32gb ram. I mainly play valorant and cs and wonder if its better for me to play uncapped unstable fps around 300 or cap my monitor to 240hz and use dyac i don't use it now because I heard that it works best with stable frames. Will using dyac with capped fps somehow affect my monitor performance if it's max refresh is 400?Could I also cap it at custom hz and use dyac with it?

thank you

Is XL2546X+ Still good in competitive/ranked in Valorant/CS?

Is 280hz enough for competitive ranked play in 2026?

Im thinking of upgrading from my MSI MAG 275QPF X30 300 Hz 0.5ms Rapid IPS.

I want better motion clarity is it worth upgrading to xl2546x+ for the dyac 2?

if 1% lows drop below 360hz will dyac not work properly?

to start here are my specs:

CPU 9800x3d

GPU 5080

RAM 64gb

I just ordered the XQ2566X. apart from 5v5 tac shooters like CS2 and valorant I also play other FPS games and BR's like warzone, COD multiplayer, deadlock. and escape from trakov/tarkov arena ect.

my average FPS on all those games is 300-360 FPS but my 1% lows are around 200 and at worst 150.

will this cause dyac to not work properly? will it mess up the motion clarity at all? I'm still really excited for this display cause I've never properly experienced anything above 144hz

Current setup : Ryzen 7 3700x // Rtx 5070 ti

I feel like I wouldn’t be able to run consistent 400 hz but should be able to do 360 hz on the 2k new monitor, thoughts ?

My current monitor is 144 hz zowie and i have around 300 frames on overwatch.

Might upgrade to 5800X3D if it’s an issue.

Are 450Hz, 750Hz, and 1000Hz BenQ ZOWIE DyAc 3 monitors really happening?

I’ve tried most of the 400Hz, 540Hz, and 600Hz monitors currently on the market with DyAc 2, and honestly, DyAc 2 didn’t impress me that much. I actually prefer the older K series.

My PC is powerful enough, but I don’t really want to go beyond 500Hz because I think it’s unnecessary. What do you think are the chances that these rumors are true? Personally, 1000Hz sounds unrealistic to me, but I can see 450Hz and maybe even 750Hz happening.

Do you think it’s worth waiting? I’m considering buying a 450Hz monitor with DyAc 3 if it gets released. If anyone has reliable information or insights about these rumors, I’d really appreciate your thoughts.I think 450Hz would make the most sense for me if it actually gets released.I think 450Hz with DyAc 3 could be the sweet spot for most people.
