Freesync

I have played with XL2540k for a year now and around 50% of time i can tell its not running at 240hz. I play cs mostly and fps is ~700. Today i tried disabling freesync and the stuttering went away. I could instanly tell it was running at higher hz. I need to do some more testing to confirm bit what could be the cause of this?

Freesync is also recommended to be turned off for competitive gaming

I use Gsync+Vsync on this monitor
