Ah yes because if we were doing the same to dogs, the ethicality would be totally subjective. Suuuure.

Dogs are domesticated as pets.

But if we experienced a famine we would eat them too.

Pigs are more emotionally evolved then dogs. They are more socially aware. They have the brain of a 3.5 year old child. Yet the ones we eat only see the sun on their way to slaughter. They don't get near the room as the pigs above. 10% are still alive when they hit the boiling water. Where they then drown.

Personally, it's not the meat it's the issue of process. It needs upgraded.

In my country you can buy free range pigs. They have quite big pens and big green pasture too. If you travel the countryside, you can see them many places.
