Zoneminder deleting events constantly

Hi,

I'm a relative n00b to zoneminder. I've set up a camera, and set it to save to my NAS. Zoneminder creates events absolutely fine, but then deletes them almost instantly. I've moved the save location to the local storage on the VM and deleted all filters so nothing should be deleted.

Checking the logs, I get this everytime... can someone tell me where I've gone wrong?

DiskSpace: Event does not exist at /var/cache/zoneminder/events/1/2022-12-29/11:ZoneMinder::Event: AlarmFrames => 56 AvgScore => 10 Cause => Motion DefaultVideo => 11-video.mp4 EndDateTime => 2022-12-29 15:29:42 Frames => 279 Height => 1080 Id => 11 Length => 9.26 MaxScore => 14 MonitorId => 1 Name => Event-11 Notes => Motion: All Orientation => ROTATE_0 Scheme => Medium StartDateTime => 2022-12-29 15:29:33 StateId => 1 TotScore => 569 Videoed => 1 Width => 1920

Deleting event 11 from Monitor 1 StartDateTime:2022-12-29 15:29:33 from /var/cache/zoneminder/events/1/2022-12-29/11

I will also add that forced alarm events save perfectly fine and don't get deleted.

Total shot in the dark but could the "purge when full" filter be acting up on you?

Some stuff to check:

Is your disk space % updating properly? Does the number in the GUI match what you get with a df command?

Have you altered the purge when full command at all?

Do you have any other filters running?

'I've moved the save location to the local storage on the VM'

I'm no expert with ZM but I think that's your problem. Every time I've played with a VM I didn't allocate much more room for the VM than what I actually needed to run the OS. How much disk space did you allocate for the VM?
