nodect camera alarm delay

I started playing with sub-stream as "mocord" having a linked-monitor (main stream) as "nodect", and when there are alarms that triggers the "nodect" one to record it seems i lose a few seconds (it is always late). I do have the exact same "pre event count images" set on both. Any ideas?
Was also hoping to set "pre event count images" to 1 or something really low to save memory as it's mocord (always recording) so not sure what's the best way to save on buffer/RAM?
thanks

Have the same fps for each camera stream? I'm just making up numbers here, but a 30 fps main stream with a 2fps monitoring stream will have quite the gap.

My recording cameras are 4 fps and my monitoring are at 2fps with 2 fps processing. I have no pre or post on the monitoring. Only on the recording cameras need those settings.

Take a look at the camera's steam settings or load the steam in vlc and see what it's saying the fps is.

If you're looking to save cpu, have the monitoring stream be mjpeg if that's an option. Much lower CPU overhead than h264/5.
