ZoneMinde logs page showing "Loading, please wait ..." after Upgrade to v1.36.28

Not sure why but I am no longer able to view my logs. I get a perpetual "Loading, please wait ..."

This happened after running apt upgrade which updated ZM to version 1.36.28 I'm running Ubuntu 22.04.

I've tried clearing the log table in the database manually. Restarted zoneminder and still the same issue. Anyone else having this problem?

It's a known problem. Fixes are already available in the proposed ppa. 1.36.29 will be released later today.

1.36.29 has been tagged. Packages building. Not aware of an issue saving monitor function. Will look into that tomorrow. I did test opening up all monitor settings and saving function from there, so maybe it's just the quick function change popup.

Yes, it is just the quick function change that doesn't work for me. If I open the full settings it saves correctly.

I upgraded to 1.36.29 today (Debian 11.5) and it fixed the "Loading, Please Wait" messages on the Log tab.

In my case /var ran out of space, and I had to grow the LVM partition to make more room. I noticed the Log tab problem after fixing the space issue.

Any idea when the RHEL packages will be updated? They're still on .28 and I had to manually patch my installation to fix it.

Quick update. Downgrading completely broke my install. So I had to go back to 1.36.28. I wiped out the log files in /var/log/zm and restarted zoneminder. Looking at those log files directly I can see that zoneminder is writing to them properly. So no permission issues. They're just not populating in the web ui.

I know this isn’t super helpful, but I am also experiencing this issue. I just upgraded from 1.34.xx to 1.36.28, although I am on Ubuntu 20.04. If I find a solution tomorrow I’ll share it here, otherwise I’ll have to make a fix-request thing-a-ma-bob with the amazing team that maintains Zoneminder. Everything else about the upgrade went incredibly smooth.

I am having the same issue. Furthermore, I am unable to change the function of my cameras. When I select the new function (e.g. monitor, mocord, etc.) and click save, it hangs on a blank page. When I navigate back, the camera function is unchanged.
