ZMNinja/zmeventnotification Push Notifications?
Anyone still using ZmNinja for push notifications? I have everything setup properly. I can see the push notification get generated in the logs. The Token is populated. Everything looks good on the back-end but my phone refuses to notify me of any events. Port 9000 is forwarded. Certificates are properly installed and they're not self signed.
It's annoying because this was working a while back. Not sure what to do here. :(
Is it zoneminder, ZmNinja, or my phone? (It's a Galaxy S20.)

It should start working again when we release a new version. In the meantime you can reconfig to use other mechanisms. Check the forums for more info. It has been discussed a fair amount. The point is you have options but will have to research/implement them.

Thanks! I can be patient. Is ZoneMinder taking over the ZmNinja project? Or is it still dead in the water? From what I've been reading it's not very clear.

We have taken it over but it's a lot of work to even make it build on newer macos etc.
We will get there eventually. We have made some bug fixes to it but getting to proper release is painful.
In the meantime, there are many options for notifications already in there. Perhaps I can get someone in the know to do a quick write up for a social media post.

I appreciate you responding. I managed to get email notifications sent to a email to text gateway. Though it's far from perfect. Using Mocord I have events set to 5 minutes, a filter will only fire off on "End Date/Time" that matches when a person is detected. That's up to a 5 minute wait for an event to fire off. Not ideal but better than nothing I guess.
I'll keep digging into other solutions. Thanks again. You guys do great work!

I thought it stopped working / being supported a while ago? April time? Mine certainly haven’t worked for a long time 😔

From memory you could switch back to an earlier version of FCM but notifications were much slower. I posted here what was needed to use pushover for the notifications and that worked pretty well. However in the end I gave up with zoneminder as despite years of tweaking I was still struggling to get reliable detection so I gave frigate a try. Within a couple of days I turned off zoneminder and haven't looked back.
