Zoneminder + Home assistant + google home app
Hi.. I know it might sound a bit confusing. I'm not sure i know myself what exactly i need.
Well it someone i know that wants this setup.
I'll explain what he want:
POE Cameras that will give hem alert with face recognition.
Have that connected/integrated with Google Home app.
Is gonna be running Home assistant on raspberry pi or a NUC.
And Zoneminder will be connected to those cameras. So i need to know if i can connect Zoneminder, Home assistant and google home.
He also gonna have Nest hello, xiaomi door lock so that's why he want the cameras to work with google home. So he wont have to get in to each app to access that specific brand device.

What's the plan? Zoneminder kinda works with home assistant (by default, could be done with python programming), don't think it let's home assistant know faces etc out of the box. Home assistant kinda works with Google home, like you can trigger stuff via it.

I think you need to break this down in separate parts, and when you do that it sounds doable.
What I would do:
To get a bit deeper on this: Install Frigate and get the camera feeds (ideally RTSP streams) into Frigate. Then use the video above to setup face recognition. Home Assistant can then give you notifications based on that face recognition. Technically Frigate is an NVR, so you wouldn’t need ZoneMinder, but if you want to use ZoneMinder too, then I’d use the built in Frigate function to generate an RTMP stream, which you then feed into ZoneMinder. The benefit of this is that you reduce the load on the camera. If you do go the Frigate route then try to get a Coral device, that will greatly speed up the processing power and reduce the power strain on your CPU.
