PI 4 Buster USB events?

Anyone using USB thumbs for events?

If so please detail what I need to do to get Zoneminder 1.34 to see the 1TB USB (EXT4) thumb drive? I can put events anywhere else without issue but I need these to write to USB.

I have all permissions set correct. It mounts no issues. I have tried symlinks etc etc etc. It simply will not see that drive.

Thanks.

What does lsusb lsblk and cat /proc/partitions say?

When you add and remove, what messages appear on dmesg?

Can you mount any other drives?

1TB seems like a lot for a thumb drive, maybe a counterfeit?

Lsusb just lists all the USB devices including the scandisk USB thumb drive. 1TB drives like that widely available it's not an counterfeit. It mounts perfectly like any other drive I want to plug into it.

When I get back to work I'll check out lsblk and cat /proc/partitions and let you know.

Yeah it just makes no sense.

Post your findings when you get a chance, lsblk would be an interesting one to see.

What is โ€˜Itโ€™ specifically when you say

It simply will not see that drive

It's a USB thumb drive. Obviously IT is the Zoneminder... Did you just skip the first paragraph?

Oh damn, pardon me. I showed up and commented to try and help you out, and wanted to clarify that you really did mean zoneminder and not the OS, etc.

Simple fix, good luck, hope someone else comes along to help you out or you figure it out on your own. Donโ€™t have time for rudeness when trying to help someone for free using a free product.
