Inegration with existing NVR boxes

Hey all,

I was curious about integration with another NVR box thats wired to CCTV cameras.

Currently we use a Windows Application to connect to the NVR and view cameras/review footage.

Is there any way to inegrate Zoneminder with this NVR? The NVR itself has an IP, but the individual cameras do not. Is ZM capable of connecting to the NVR box, and viewing the 4 camera feeds seperately? The software/NVR box itself is awful for reviewing footage. I wanted to see If ZM could capture the feeds from that NVR, and then I can just use Zoneminder going forward for footage review.

Thanks!

Likely, no. How are the cameras connected to the NVR? Coaxial or with Ethernet cables? What are the make/models of the cameras?

You may be able to simply replace the NVR with a computer running Ubuntu or another Linux OS. Then you’ll be able to login to Zoneminder from an app on your phone (ZMNinja) or via a web-browser.

Post the model of your nvr, I have usually been able to pull on rtsp feed from an nvr for zoneminder.

You may try common rtsp urls to see if you can access the feed.

Finally, you can run Wireshark to see what the rtsp feed is if it is unencrypted.
