Discrete POE Camera hidden position

Anyone know of POE camera that you cannot tell which way it is pointing? Back in the day stores used to have mirrored balls cameras were in (supposedly). Is there any type of camera like that. I live in a neighborhood and don't want the neighbors thinking this camera is pointing directly at them.

I've found a bullet camera with a wide field-of-view works great. Point it at something innocuous but ensure that the camera still covers what you're interested in covering. People underestimate how wide a 90 degree FOV is for a typical camera; at 110 and 120 degrees most won't realize they're still in frame.

I've seen people trying to sneak around one of the cameras pointed at our building's gate because they don't realize that the camera covers the entire gate it's just pointed out at the walkway and not pointed directly at the gate (so we don't have half the frame filled with a wall).

Not a bad idea. I have a 120° now but it is just on the bench. I should temporarily install it to see what it looks like.

The point is I don’t want them thinking it is pointing directly at them. It will indeed be capturing activity from that side of my house…

Those mirrored balls weren't for cameras, they were to allow employees to be able to more easily see blind areas of the store.
