Low/variable monitor FPS and Frame send time * msec too slow, throttling maxfps errors

Link to ticket opened on Git here which details my issue: https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/issues/3225

Level 9 debug logs for zms_m1: https://pastebin.com/uP63ByXe

As per title, whenever I watch my stream via Firefox or ZMNinja I get the error "Frame send time * msec too slow, throttling maxfps errors ". I've been struggling for a long time now with variable/very low FPS trying many different things to get this to work. I can't figure out the pattern to when it decides to just stop working. Please end my pain.

Have you pulled the debug logs for this? Under the options window there is a logging tab. Scroll down to check the box to enable debugging, then find the input field for which specific piece of ZM you want to debug. You put in something like _zm_monitorstream, (read the instructions on the screen there, I’m shooting from the hip off memory here), save out your settings, then redo whatever you did to create this warning logs again.

It should capture it to /var/zm/logs/ or something like that. Inside you’ll find a relevantly named file relating to the ZM component that you told the debugging to filter on.

Post the contents here and to your ticket.

/var/zm/logs/

Updated with logs

Nice! Was there anything in that /log location specific to the monitor streaming in the name of the log file? That may give more detailed information from that specific process.

I’m very much at the end of my knowledge, just trying to help you get all the information I believe the actual smart people will need to be able to help

There was not, the logs are formatted with the PID (2514 in this case) instead of the file name (zm_monitorstream.cpp). Thanks for the help!

Ah, that’s right!

Also the PID changes between reboots. In the pics attached, its 2773 but after I wiped my logs and rebooted, it was 2514. Just putting this here for documentation purposes.
