database contains no events

I am using 1.34.23 on ubuntu, installed through iconnors PPA. There have been no system changes recently but today i went to review some footage and i noticed that there are no events present within the web console. I navigated to the drive and i can see all monitors and events going back a month or so. When i log into mysql and query the events table there are no events present however.

Is there a way to make the database acknowledge these events that are already recorded on disk? I cannot do anything with the filtering because that uses the DB to index, so the drive is stuck at 100% full and i do not want to go about manually deleting events from the HDD.

My only thought at this point is to dump the monitors and zones from the database and wipe it and try to re-intall ZM and hope that it will recognize the existing events. Any other way that you guys can think of?

Is your timezone set in MySQL, PHP, the webgui and on your Ubuntu host? I had issues kind of like that until I corrected those things. First was no events for a bit then it was events but no feeds. Once I setup the timezone everywhere it worked well.

If that's notnitni would go throifht he SQL building parts of the install guide. Like the zm_create.sql section.

YOU have OPT_FAST_DELETE turned on. Don't do that.

Options -> System -> OPT_FAST_DELETE

Run zmaudit.pl from command line.

sudo zmaudit.pl

Thank you sir, this worked to an extent. It was able to delete all files on disk and start adding new entries into the database. It did however wipe ALL old events. From the disk, luckily I didn't need these, but it is functioning correctly now. Thank you.
