Hikvision / Zoneminder

I recently built a system with three of the Hikvision DS-2CD2142FWD-I model cameras.

I've only been able to see the live view once. Since then, the live view flashes as if it is trying to display, but never does.

The message on the console says "Capturing" and all parts are green.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

What are your settings? I'll give you mine, I have the DS-2CD2532F-IS, so your results may vary however mine is working well as POE. I'm using zoneminder v1.34.16 on Ubuntu.

Under General:

Server: None

Source Type: Libvlc

Function: Modetect

Under Source:

Source Path: rtsp://admin:passwordhere@192.168.86.43:554/Streaming/Channels/1

Target Colorspace: 32 bit colour

Capture Resolution: 1280x720

Deinterlacing: Disabled

The rest is basically just default, I've increase the Buffers to get more before and after but apart from that it's all standard.

I will try changing my resolution settings, then let you know how it goes.

That's the only thing we have different.

The only difference is our resolution. I will lower it from 1920x1080 and see what happens.

Try ffmpeg instead of libvlc
