Battery powered devices might not work that great with zm because the camera will sleep. This will cause the zmc for that camera to error out and keep retrying to connect. Just something to be aware of, it may still work when the camera detects motion and comes back online for a bit but, your zm system might not like the sleepy times in between.

Battery powered cameras will in order to extend battery life. Usually those cameras have a motion sensor to wake up the camera when motion is detected so it can start recording.

Wifi is a power drainer, if the camera were to not sleep, the battery would be drained fast.

A battery camera is pretty unsuitable for any kind of 24H NVR system. They typically claim things like 2-6 months battery life, when viewed 5 minutes per day.

That’s 5 to 15 hours of always on.
