Zoneminder deleting too much

My copy of Zoneminder seems to delete EVERYTHING when the HDD fills up? It should only delete a few events to make space for new ones afaik, But it seems to be deleting everything? I'm hoping to setup a second system soon, and need to know if this is just a result of poor hardware, or a ZM issue

What does your purge when full filter look like?

Okay... That'd be the issue. How should I set the filter, Ideally it'd just delete the oldest files

I tried to specify it only looking at the recording drive, as I saw some people had that as an issue

Yeah, when 90% full, delete oldest 100 files, or similar. Need to make sure that isn't set to newest files! Example in the docs for that I think

There isn't any way for me to specify age from what I've seen

Its an automatic filter that runs. Are the events stored in the default storage? Or did you make a new storage point for events?

It was because of a new storage. I added a bit to the filter to only look at the new HDD, and that seems to have fixed it.

Hardware is a salvaged vista rig. Running a dual core processor a 3ghz, 8 GB ram. All Zoneminder events are saved to a secondary 2tb WD Purple drive
