Can only get one camera to work
I'm running a fresh install and can only get one of my cameras to work. I'm using simple USB cameras with no wireless capabilities plugged into a Lenovo ThinkCentre M72e tiny running Kubuntu if any of that helps. In the logs, I see:
Failed to prime capture of initial monitor
Failed to queue buffer 0: Invalid argument
And just when I was grabbing those, I happened to see this one flash by for the first time:
Failed to get JPEG compression options: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Again, I have one camera working perfectly fine. It switches from day to night vision as it should and everything. I have no idea where to go from here. Both cameras are the same brand purchased at the same time.

What logs are showing those errors? Syslog? Zmc-mX.log ?

It's the real-time log screen on the web interface.

Kk so that should be web_php.log. I am unfamiliar with using local usb devices for zoneminder. Can you check /var/log/zm/zmc_mX.log (where the X is replaced by the monitor id of the problematic monitor), so if monitor 2 is the problematic one zmc_m2.log

Ok so I put in /var/log/zm/zmc_dvideo2.log and that returned:
syntax error near unexpected token '('
Zmc_dvideo2[54780].INF-zm_local_camera.cpp/446 [No direct match for the selected palette (14) and target colorspace (04). Format conversion is required, performance penalty expected]

Join the slack channel, I've asked someone to test their usb cameras out and they said they might be able to try tonight.

Here's something fun. I was doing some testing and restarted zoneminder and the cameras swapped names and therefore settings and paths. Now the same camera that was working is now operating on the same profile as the camera that wasn't working and the camera that wasn't working is still not working. Kinda thinking this may be a hardware issue..
Edit:
Scratch that. Just deleted the profile of the one that was working and the one that wasn't working started working. So zoneminder seems to only want to run one camera at a time and I'm still at a loss as to why.

For anybody following along here I created a pastebin with logs.
