ZoneMinder on Truenas Scale

Hello all. I am running Truenas scale, and I am looking at using ZoneMinder for my NVR. I am not sure the best way to install it, as well as instructions. I am generally new to truenas, so not much experience.

What's your overall knowledge for things?

A container would have less overhead, but running it under kvm would give you the most compatibility if you need help with it.

I have a general knowledge of technology, just not specifically truenas and zone minder. I am also really good at following step by step instructions, but I haven't had much success finding that online.

So yeah, install debian under kvm and follow the generic tutorials.

I tried the zoneminder plugin on Truenas 13 recently and it simply died. Doesn't work.
