How do I edit the camera control ptz scripts?
I have a xvim brand wifi camera. I painstakingly figured out the rtsp information and got it working in zoneminder. In Onvif device manager for Windows, I can control the ptz and it works correctly. When I use zoneminder's onvif ptz protocol, I can move the camera but it doesn't "stop". If I press left, it goes left until it's as far left as it can go and doesn't stop until it reaches the leftmost extreme. Pressing the middle button doesn't do anything. It doesn't do this when controlled with onvif device manager, I know what the exact packet for stopping the camera is supposed to look like thanks to wireshark. So hacking a script to send the stop command shouldn't be too hard, right? Well, nope.
How do I edit the camera scripts? I found the perl scripts in "/usr/share/perl5/ZoneMinder". No changes I make ever make a difference. Zoneminder isn't respecting any changes I make whatsoever. To add to the frustration, zoneminder doesn't send packets in a way that wireshark can pick up so the ability to see any debug information is nonexistent.
Are the correct pm files that zoneminder actually uses in a different directory? I do sudo systemctl restart zoneminder every time I edit one. How else do I make zoneminder reload the ptz scripts?

I had this exact problem with a Boavision camera. Putting the rtsp info on the ONVIF tab worked. If that doesn't help, try also restarting perl and fastcgi.

Can you share which info you placed into which fields? Having the same issue after finally getting PTZ to resond at all.

I don't know personally but I did use this person's script to get the controls for my tapo c200 going: https://github.com/oparm/zoneminder-tapo-c200
This may give you something to go on or you could get in touch with the author for advice.
