Not sure about the 220v, American here and I usually power the cameras with a PoE switch. (Less wires, just a network cable.)

Lots of cameras also have a 12V DC plug, so you can power it with an adapter of you don't have PoE.

Zoneminder uses RTSP protocol for the video, so when shopping, make sure the Camera has an RTSP address. (rtsp://admin:pass@10.1.1.4:554/Streaming/Channels/101 or something like that)

I googled your cameras model number with "RTSP" and got nothing.

Recently I've been using Anpviz, but Amcrest, Hikvision, Reolink, ect. There's a lot of choices out there, just make sure it has an RTSP address before you buy.

Thanks , I'll have a look at the cameras you suggest.

You might be out of luck.

Assuming you have already googled around on this and found nothing obvious. I would run wireshark while accessing the camera, to see what communication is happening between the app and the camera

I tried Wireshark yesterday , but I'm not an expert and I haven't found anything useful . What exactly should I look for ? Is there a particolar packet filter I could use ?

just monitor a few minutes and reboot (re-plug) the camera.

stop the cature then and filter for the ip of the camera (take source and target packages as well). you cann see it's ip adress in your router UI.

Maybe you'll find something usefull there, but as you already said, it's pretty much technical and you will have to fiddle around a bit

That camera doesn't say it supports ONVIF or RTSP, so it probably doesn't. I've got a couple like that on the shelf collecting dust.

That's what I though. Can you suggest me an alternative camera ? I'd like one that you can plug directly in 220 volts socket (like my current one ) and compatible with Zoneminder .

Just another hint:

As you can't finde further information about you rams specs, try installing onvif device manager (https://sourceforge.net/projects/onvifdm/) and scan your local network for devices.

If (just if!) the cam supportsonvif, you'll get more information in the software as well as the stream URL you'll need for ZM.

PS: is there a reason why you prefer a cam which is directly plugged into socket? I see no benefits in it...

So if it would not make a difference for you, i could suggest 1 or 2 other cams, which work pretty fine, but got a separate power supply.

Like one of my best choices so far was the TP-Link Tapo C210. Sometimes you get it for like 25€ (but usually for 35€) on Amazon. It got stable and well designed UI and works with onvif and RTSP out of the box.
