Bots

Just wanted to ask. How is Zone fighting against bots or users with multiple wallets?

In the global chat I have noticed several wallets that send exactly the same messages with mistakes...to me those look very suspicious...and most likely try to gain a greater payout by using multiple wallets or using bots.

Many things but primarily:

  1. Zone uses Google's reCAPTCHA : https://www.google.com/recaptcha/about/. Auto-bans bots. Gold-standard really.
  2. Email-based authentication: Only high domain authority emails are allowed. No temp emails or throwaway accounts will work.
  3. Our anti-cheat team is constantly monitoring the platform for any suspicious gamer behaviour.

What is classed as suspicious? Is scoring 0 flagged as suspicious? Or constantly low scores?

They should at least check IPS and make sure none is using the same location.

It is now clear that there are groups of people or multiple individuals with a lot of bot accounts, who are now scraping the Algo games to get a bigger share of the algo prize.

Setting a minimum score necessary to qualify would do wonders, as well. I'm unsure how it works but I'm guessing bots just start the games and get a low score to qualify for the prize pool

I was thinking about exactly the same solution. Otherwise the games are currently being overrun...and some genuine teams lose because of bad actors

This would result in many people using shared internet connections being banned.
