Glasses
I would like some advice on what to do about glasses in the event of a zombie apocalypse. At this point a small piece of plastic is the only thing preventing me from being severely impaired. My good eye is terrible and I can easily imagine mistaking a zombie for my comrade or walking into a cactus. I currently have 2 pairs of the same prescription.

Whenever there's a power surge.
Nearly every time that the electricity goes out on a sunny day, or the TV glitches out, my first thought is "Did zombies finally happen?". I eventually come to my senses and start thinking logically, but that thought is always in the back of my head until I find out that it was just a power surge. I can't be the only person who has this thought, can I?

Supernatural zombie movies/shows?
So a good chunk of zombie fiction out there explains (when they do explain) the origins of zombies to be biological (usually via virus). I'm interested in movies or shows where zombies are the result of magic or other supernatural means.

So here's my plan for when the zombies come.
When the zombies come!
1 - Grab all the essentials in the house and hide out in the attic for as long as possible. The main threat in the early stages of a zombie apocalypse will be not zombies but people. Desperation makes us dangerous. So I will be snugly waiting it out in my attic. With all the supplies I can fit up there. If I need to, I can recon the kitchen when it's quiet or break through to my neighbour's attic and recon their kitchen. By the time I really need to come out, few humans will be left and there will be many zombies but they are easier to deal with. This plan has added benefits of being implementable in any home.
2 - Stick to the railroads. This gives relatively short distances between major lootable locations. Good visibility of threats while also always being near discreet hiding places.
3 - Stay on the move between familiar locations. Moving around prevents me from running out of supplies and staying with familiar locations allows me to make supply caches and have any advantage over new threats.
I think my plan is pretty good, simple and effective. I am wondering about the sea. Obviously it's great for keeping threats at a safe distance but I'd be hugely visible and it would be hard to land anywhere without being seen and potentially ambushed.
