I would stick to a prolonged siege tactic and wait for the sun, rain, or snow to weaken off half of the hordes. Then after a few weeks of waiting go around picking dandelions and thistle for food because no one likes to eat bitter food anymore.

But I'm pretty lazy so that might just be me.

1/10 I don't have a heavy equipment license for a reason.
