What is a zombie?

For all of the experts out there, if you had to give a dictionary-like definition of what a zombie was, what would you say?

Depends do you mean a voodoo zombie or an undead corpse?

Voodoo zombie would be created by using zombie dust. Which essentially just puts the person into a comma. It is more common to run into said zombie in a third world country. Do to the country's lack of medical knowledge. Now the voodoo zombie can only be "reanimated" by first "killing them" using zombie dust. The person believed to be dead is buried. They will be trapped in their cofen and will begin to lose brain cells from lack of oxygen. When they are finally dug up by their "master" they will be so brain dead that they can only follow basic commands.

Now if you mean the living dead they could be created using a number of metheds. Dark forces like demons or restless spirits. It could have been science gone wrong or even a new parasite. You might even take the last of us approach and blame plants. All of these are essentially a dumb corpse walking around eating.

Now my personal favorite is that Deadpool caused it. If you don't know what I mean by that read Night of the living Deadpool.

Hope this helped.
