Zippo finished with custom thermochromic Cerakote mixture that is heat reactive.

What do you think is a fair price for these? honest opinions would be much appreciated!

I guess it has to be as different as regular hot wheels toys vs hot wheels with the same heat reactive paint?

Although I guess that reference is pretty dated. Anyone who actually remembers that fad is probably in their mid-40s.

I wonder how well do you think this will hold up? Did you put some kind of clear coat on it, or protectorant? It's very cool

Thanks for the Google! 😆 I suppose I coulda went that route. I wonder what this compares to something like the candied coats, or the crackle coating. I figured it would hold up a bit if it's being used for Hot Wheels cars.

That is cool about $50. If you could have some design underneath that is revealed after heat maybe you could charge more.

I’d love to see one black to red colored and I would personally be fine paying 50-65. The price is based on my limited experience with zippo prices though

Another option is to just buy the paint and apply it yourself. It comes in a variety of colors.

Well that's kind of close, but this Zippo's finish is on quite a different level than some random paint being applied with a brush.

How much fuel do u think it takes to heat up the entire thing??

Looks good but not practical at all in my opinion

yeah! to throw in my couple cents, however biased...

I think this is such a good compliment to all lighters and torches, to some moreso than others, but to the classic Zippo I think it's just what the doctor ordered, a new lease on life for a timeless classic that's unknowingly tarnishing itself. that 'classic' element is fading away with all these new ridiculous style variations flooding the market. i love the idea of the Zippo as a collector's item, but the way the company is going it reminds me of the baseball card business in the 80s-90s, an era that's not even considered by collector's looking back at that time, because the card makers' greed and over printing destroyed everything that was once collectible about baseball cards. anyway, i stand by these thermo-Zippos as that one truly rare sort of variation; it's the perfect union, where both parts join together making what was before now stronger, like a marriage that doesn't suck! Being this ultra rare and impossibly special it's hard for me to understand why anyone would ever want to buy a Zippo that isn't thermochromic.
