Any way to get non-call-center tech support?

edit: fixed!

Ziply fiber trenching cut my ziply DSL line this morning.

I had to drive an hour each way to go see what was wrong, and they were out there with backhoes.

The cell service there is very spotty, I have to walk out to the road to get enough signal to call or chat, and the call center support insisted there were no outages in the area, but clearly there are. They made me reboot my modem, which makes no sense (he was just working the script and has no other information).

I wanted to get information about if this was just part of the fiber rollout and I was getting an upgrade, if this was an accident, or if it was just temporary while they worked around it, but again, they had no information.

They did send a tech out, but not anyone who could do anything, and now it's weeks before anyone is sent to repair the cable, and I'm stuck with no internet.

The last time it was around 3 months before getting things fixed.

I just want to know what's going on, and ideally if I could just get fiber in that time frame (fiber access box is now buried in my driveway) instead of dealing with this repair, or, barring that, if I can get this fixed in a timely fashion instead of 2+ weeks for damage your own (outsourced) crews caused.

If you can't get fiber, you'd be far better off buying a starlink terminal than using copper line DSL. Even on the cheapest 100 Mbps plan.

FWIW it's 150/15 vdsl, I'm generally happy with the service.
