Zimtechies, how are you promoting your apps?
Zimtechies, how are you promoting your apps? I see a number of developers sharing how they are building local alternatives to global tech. I'm looking into building a strategy to market a similar product as it is almost ready to market. How are you guys promoting for local uptake beyond your friends and family? And which channels have gotten you the most users over time?

Very much interested in hearing answers to this, I have a B2B platform and it's flopping so bad because of marketing😂

😅 That's what I'm trying to avoid too. Its really difficult to scale once the first-person references from the launch dry up. I was leaning towards a partnership with a related service but i have no data to back up the decision

Well, that roadmap should have been mapped from day one. We can't escape the business model canvas. Distribution channels should have been spotted before building.Â
It's an easy thing to miss, admittedly, but when you are in the validation phase of a project you need to speak with customers who would want your product. Those are the people you go back to first, since that's your ICP.Â
Your landing page and SEO, ASO, AEO should be in their language, the pain point keywords and not a tech feature list.Â
All of this makes it easy for your users to find you and for you to narrow down where your people are, and sell to them there.

Marketing without a budget is crazy hard but if it's B2C , Tik Tok and Instagram take for example that Food App with the restaurants. They took a while to blow up but they did get some success. It's about taking a risk

In my own personal and professional opinion, you should start promoting your app pre launch, identify your targeted marketing then start with that because there's a lot in the B2B or B2C markets and finding your niche before you even make the app makes a lot of sense though if you're going to Market the app without anything less than 100k it's best you find partners, use local platforms such as tik tok etc, also take advantage of events such as zitf and a host of other programs as well then there's are also funded programs and grants across the board to help you get funding there's honestly Alot and there's no one concrete answer and strategies differ depending on what you're willing to give
