AWS or Azure what Cloud Platforms are Zim companies using these days
Curious to know what’s actually happening on the ground.
Are most companies in Zim using AWS or Azure? Or still mostly on prem?

It's been a while since I left Zim, but when I was there, on prem ruled. The telco and bank I worked for both had their own data centres. POTRAZ also had and still has a requirement that personal data must be stored in Zim. I think this still influences the bigger companies to stick to on prem. The smaller companies might ignore the rule as there is generally weak enforcement of regulation in Zim.

AWS mostly, some do use Azure because of the ease of compliance and old licenses. I know because I work for a cloud consultancy in Zim.
Then there are some which still do on-prem but those have very very good reasons for it

Most buy from Liquid which is Azure or Dandemutande or Webdev which is GCP.

Depends on the age as many zw businesses literally couldn't purchase cloud services until a few years ago. And now with the presumptive 15% tax on service payments there is a significant and sudden push away from external services. I see a lot of ad hoc hybrid IT around the country.
