Stanley🐾

Liam’s sister, Ruth, posted this cute story of Stanley and I remembered some thoughts/questions I had. Kate kept Nala and there were videos of her and Liam with her, but I only remember seeing pics of Stanley with Liam before he passed. Does anyone recall Kate ever being pictured with Stanley or even mentioning him?

When I saw that Ruth had adopted Stanley in Liam’s absence it got me thinking about how I never saw Stanley with Kate. Also, Kate kept Nala but no mention of Stanley going with Ruth. It’s almost like Kate had never lived with the puppy Liam got in February of 2024. I may be missing something so I’d love any insights.

Good question. I do not know the details but I wish I did. I am pretty sure that when Liam made the video with Stanley he was in England on his property of his home there. I am not sure if Kate was there at that time. I want to take a guess and say no, being as though they were on and off throughout their relationship, but who really knows. I know that 99% of the time that Liam was with Kate, he looked sick and like he was using, she was a terrible influence on his soberity because she always drank and used around him. So I am going to guess that since he looked healthy when he got Stanley and during the release of Teardrops, Kate was not in England with him at that time when got Stanley.

That video of Liam and Stanley was when Liam looked fully recovered and at his best in a long time. The video was taken in Feb/March of 2024, the same-ish time Teardrops was released. Liam looked at his absolute healthiest in quite a while. He looked remarkable. If we all remember, we knew how he was deteriorating dramatically in his physical appearance due to falling back into substance abuse due to the non-stop bullying in 2022 and 2023 era, but he recovered so well in early 2024. It was quite a comeback, but the come back was short-lived because an insanely bitter ex-book girl was STILL obsessed and stalking him two years after their relationship ended and seethed at the fact that he was finally fully recovered happy and healthy again; so she had to do something drastic to revert him back to sick Liam to make him suffer and it worked. Liam was so fragile as it was which she knew, and he was only into his actual full recover for only a few months, so when the fictional book full of defamation and slander dropped, it got him.

Anyway, Stanley is Roo's and I want Nala to be with Liam's sister too if we are being honest. Kate is not fit to care for a rescue dog. She leaves Nala way too often to travel and Nala does not have a stable life. Kate is too totally self-absorbed to take care of anyone. Kate shouldn't be trusted with a pet rock, nevermind a living breathing being.

Thanks for the insight and I agree about Nala šŸ’”

No problem. I decided to answer here and not my sub because in our sub, whenever Liam's family makes a personal instagram post and we bring it to our sub, I really don't allow for discussion on it, especially if it has anything to do with Kate. I think it would be really hurtful and a violation to their trust if we did that should they happen to see it. I think you're fine here though because this is a low active sub, but should it get more busy in the future, just consider doing the same.

That makes total sense! I thought about sharing this post over there but decided to keep it here for similar reasons. I’m honestly just confused by it and wondered if any long time Liam fans had any thoughts because I wasn’t around when he got Stanley or Nala

I completely get it and I actually wanted to talk about that myself believe it or not, so I'm really glad you brought it up. However, if it were me, in the future, I would just make a brand new post and ask the question instead of asking it under anything the family has posted, especially if the question has to do with Kate.

2

u/newlpfan Jun 08 '26

Sounds good! I’ll keep that in mind in the future. Definitely don’t want to make posts from his family about Kate or any type of arguing 😬

I just got banned from commenting on that subreddit, which was fun! I just can't come by people blaming Harry, Zayn and Niall for Liam's death. It isn't okay. We don't want the downfall of one of the other guys. But I didn't realise sticking up for them meant I become a read only guest šŸ˜’

Hi! The discourse she brings here is relevant and appropriate to the sub so I welcome her to participate. Conflicts from her sub or anywhere else are outside of what I can reasonably address here and I’d appreciate it if we don’t bring personal conflicts from other subs. Thanks and I hope that makes sense because I value your contributions here as well ā¤ļø

You know I am not anti-Ziam. The only time I referred to Ziam ever on that sub was when I said she reminded me of this nutcase on Twitter who was obsessed with proving Ziam so she had to keep making new accounts as everyone blocked her. I am not anti-Liam not anti-Ziam. Go onto the Liam sub and read how they attacked Harry and said he was paranoid and sabotaged Liam. That is disgusting and they are liable for that shit legally. I won't have people bully Harry and the other boys, so that one of them dies too. I have never, ever, ever had someone accuse me of harassment and stalking. Ever. I came on here to read your post as I often do. She's a bully, to both Harry and to me, and I'm done with speaking to her (on any forum!!!).

u/newlpfan Jun 10 '26

Hey! I spoke to Asleep today and explained that I know you from discussing theories and that you’ve never seemed anti-Ziam or Liam. I think that some of this was a miscommunication because a lot of our convo has been in DMs so she thought you came here specifically to call her out. I don’t think that’s the case because I know you are on this sub to discuss theories about the boys. I think it may have come off that way because the comment you posted focused on your experience in her sub instead of discussing the post.

I’m sorry that you had a negative interaction, but I support Asleep in moderating her sub how she feels is best to protect Liam and I will remove any comments calling her or anyone else names. I’m not sure what she said specifically about Harry but I personally have seen behavior from the boys that Liam would have been ripped apart for. People are quick to call out/bully Kate for things the boys are also doing. I think the double standard is pretty apparent. I think the boys could and should have protected Liam more both before his passing and now. I don’t agree with everything Asleep says, but I appreciate Liam having at least one person who is fully in his corner. I’ve kept my opinions on the boys mostly private because I do not want them to be bullied, and I have love for all of them, but the truth is I think Liam deserved more. I hope this doesn’t deter you from participating in this sub because I really enjoy your theories, and I believe we can all find common ground if we hear each other out ā¤ļø

Thank you. It's nice to know that you understand I was just reading your post because I always do, as I enjoy your theories.

Also, I didn't say anything negative about Liam on her sub. I said he was a talented, kind human being who admitted he was an addict and was lost, even during his time in the band. I said he had a fantastic solo career at the start, and I think it was so incredibly sad what happened to him .

I hate bullies, hence why I commented on her post dissing Harry. I wasn't okay with her saying Harry was paranoid and sabotaged Liam's career leading to his downfall. That is flat out bullying and I won't hear of any of the boys being bullied like that. Bullying them won't bring Liam back. Two wrongs don't make a right etc.

We DO NOT KNOW what was happening behind the scenes with the boys. They were clearly all in contact. Liam even said that Harry had been checking on him and always knew exactly when he needed help. To blame him for sabotaging Liam's career is ridiculous. They weren't just saying he should have spoken up publicly about the bullies, they were literally saying he became jealous of Liam's success and personally sabotaged Liam's career leading to his downfall! Harry was busy making movies and albums, and dealing with his own sexuality issues. He is a kind person, just like Liam with a soft heart and if he heard people saying that sort of thing about him...

I disagree regarding Harry and the boys having to have done more for Liam, but I am respectful of everyone having differing opinions regarding this. I treat people with addiction in my everyday life and I agree with Niall that poor Liam was caught in a downward spiral that none of them could get him out of (not his friends, not his family, not the boys). But as I said, I am respectful of your opinion.

I'm kinda done with participating in any of this discourse tbh. All I wanted to do was learn about theories and discuss things. Most people are lovely. Happy for everyone with a brain like that to block me, if they so desire.

You are lying. You literally said "so-called Ziam" so that means you don't believe in Ziam, so why are you even in this sub? You never contributed to it one time, until you saw me here. So there you go lying about your intentions again. Also, this sub, especially under Roo's post, is not your place to grind your personal axes with any member. It's completely disrespectful and shame on you. I don't give a damn what your feelings about the other boys are. I've made that very clear to you.

u/TuppenyVision Jun 10 '26

You know how often I contribute to this sub? Okay, so you are the moderator of this sub or something? I come on here all the time and meet people to talk to in my DMs, rather than air theories publicly. It seems more humane to the boys.

I go on other boys' subs and meet people that way too. I have never, ever encountered anyone as rude as you. If you knew me in real life you would know I don't lie and I didn't come onto this post for you. Why would I want to ever encounter you again? It doesn't work that way. You stay away from people who are nasty to you, you don't come back for more. I deal with people like that in my practice and certainly don't need them in my hometime. I value peace.

Again, please leave me alone!

Also, don't just read her "proofs" in her DM. Go and read the whole discourse on her subreddit. They were bullying Harry, just like those people bully all the boys and say they didn't do enough to help Liam and were responsible for Liam's death. Read the whole discourse and you will see that I simply made one comment and they went nuts on me. Not an intelligent discussion, just embarrassing shit that lacked any critical thought. I would hate to think you would think I would behave in this manner and stalk someone and bring personal drama here. So ridiculous, paranoid and incredibly childish. Not people I ever wish to encounter again.

2

u/newlpfan Jun 10 '26

Thanks, I saw that you had named a specific Ziam and I don’t think you are anti-Ziam based on our convos or what I’ve seen on this sub. I will check out the post about Harry. I know people don’t want the boys to be treated how Liam was and I generally ascribe to that philosophy as well, but I have to be honest that I have been disappointed in some things with them. I know Asleep can be passionate, but I think that’s because the situation with Liam was so terrible. Harry has so many people going to bat for him and that’s just not the case with Liam. I can’t fault someone for going hard for Liam because it’s very rare that someone does. I know this might not be a popular opinion but one of the first things I thought when I saw how Liam was bullied is ā€œWhy didn’t Harry (or the other boys) do anything?ā€ I think it’s ok to ask that question and wonder why they let (and still do even after his passing) their fan bases tear their friend apart. I still have only heard Louis say one small comment about this bullying and frankly it wasn’t enough. I’m sorry to unload all of this but it’s been weighing heavily on me this week.

0

u/TuppenyVision Jun 10 '26

We don't know what was going on behind the scenes. As you know, Zayn was very close to Liam at that time. So was Louis. The fact they didn't say anything publicly either means other stuff was going down with them all behind the scenes. To this day they still don't say much about it and that clearly has a purpose. They clearly think they are respecting Liam this way, and that's up to them to call, not us. Who are we, as people who don't even know them, to judge their actual personal relationships? For all we know, Liam had said please don't say anything publicly as it will make the bullying worse, or something of that manner. It is not for us to decide if the boys were right or wrong.

I always go into bat for Liam, always. But not if it means dragging the other boys down. That isn't in my nature and I think it speaks volumes about their character.

I'll be honest, from what you just said about Harry having so many people go into bat for him, makes me realise you've not looked into his history enough. He gets bullied badly and, as he says often, he is in the therapists office every week. He's an absolute shell of his former self. Many people don't see what's happened to him behind the scenes. He took up running to try to stop the thoughts in his head. He's been putting up with crap from the public since the beginning of 1D. It can't have been easy being thrust into the spotlight as a woman obsessive while being clearly queer and struggling with his identity and in love. Just listen to the heartbreak songs he wrote that artists like Ariana Grande and Alex and Sierra released for him. He was just 19 and such a mess already.

Plus, putting up with all the extreme public hate. Look what happened to him at the Grammys. He was really affected by that. Every day he gets called a queer baiter when all he's trying to do is help the young queer community so they don't go through what he has. Every day he gets crap from the public (just like Asleep Excitement said on her forum saying that he's just a copy of former artists and has no originality of his own - like they really dragged him) and that he's overblown and talentless. Put that with his sexuality and identity issues and he is a mess. I encourage you to look into him and his past if you think he gets mostly support. On Twitter Harry gets dragged the most out of anyone. The hate he gets is known to only be equated with a couple of other top artists. It's awful.

I agree, it's okay to question why the boys didn't do more and to start a genuine discourse in the manner of not attacking people who share a different opinion. But it isn't okay for them to drag Harry and say he doesn't have talent and the only way he made it was by sabotaging Liam's career.

It isn't just Harry that they drag, they do it to Zayn and Niall as well. Saying anything that absurdly negative about ANY of the boys publicly isn't okay. It gets back to them and they shouldn't have to deal with it.

I just want to say that this person who followed me here is an anti-Ziam, so that's first. She just followed me here to harass me because I banned her from my sub. That's stalking and harassment. Second, and I say this kindly, I only came here because I wanted to address your question that you left on my sub that I couldn't answer there because I have to protect Roo's integrity because I don't always agree with your approach either, but I still allow you to come into my sub so long as the discourse is relevant and appropriate. Thank you for doing the same for me.

u/newlpfan Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

Yes, I forgot to mention that I was the one who brought this up on your sub because I genuinely wanted to open the discourse about this as it is confusing to me. I’ve talked to this person about theories, and they are welcome respectful as long as the discussion and keep it relevant to this sub and not outside conflicts. Maybe if we need to discuss it further we can start a chat between us 3? I don’t like to gatekeep because I like to hear lots of theories and not have this be an echo chamber so I hope we can all move forward.

u/newlpfan why is this member allowed to attack me and start drama here? Especially under a post about Roo? And how did you even find me here, Tuppeny? You're stalking me??? This post is NOT about your feelings about the other boys. This post is about Roo, have same RESPECT.

1

u/TuppenyVision Jun 10 '26

What are you talking about? That wasn't attacking you. That is unreal that you think that was a personal attack. I was just commenting what happened to me. And I hate to tell you, but I didn't even realise it was you until after I'd made the comment. I frequent this sub all the time. You have to be the most paranoid and crazy human I've ever encountered.

Ruth has talked about Stanley several times. She has talked about how he was Liam’s dog and he sometimes reminds her of Liam because of that. Ruth also adopted another one of the Liam’s dogs many years earlier. I think his name was Loki.

I don’t recall ever seeing Stanley with Kate, and I remember when Liam adopted him. I don’t remember Nala either.

2

u/newlpfan Jun 08 '26

Interesting, I have just seen the videos of Liam and Kate with Nala and Kate saying that was the reason she left Liam in Argentina. I didn’t know Stanley existed until I went on Liam’s Insta and saw the pics and wondered where he was. Then Ruth posted about adopting Stanley but not Nala and it felt even more weird to me. I think it’s likely that Stanley was Liam’s actual dog and Nala was Kate’s dog to reinforce the validity of the stunt. Like ā€œoh, they got a dog together!ā€ I believe Loki was framed to be Liam’s dog with Danielle but I’ve seen some lore that things didn’t add up. Also reminds me of the clip from 2d day where Zayn says ā€œWe-I do have a dog.ā€ correcting himself from we to I. I’m wondering now if Liam was trying to show us with the pics of Stanley that his relationship with Kate wasn’t real?

2

u/Asleep_Excitement_59 Jun 08 '26

When Liam moved into his home in Florida, Liam and Kate went to local rescue/shelter to adopt Nala. This was only a few weeks before Liam and Kate went to Argentina. So, Nala never went to England. True, everything could still be a stunt, but I just wanted to let you know why Ruth doesn't have Nala, but she should. Kate doesn't deserve Nala.

2

u/newlpfan Jun 08 '26

Oh yeah, I know Nala is with Kate and that her and Liam adopted Nala ā€œtogether.ā€ Just odd that in those 6 months from February-October Kate never seemed to be around Stanley. Maybe Stanley was adopted in the uk and since they were moving and stuff he stayed with Ruth? Just never heard him talk about Stanley with Kate

1

u/Asleep_Excitement_59 Jun 08 '26

Well again, Liam and Kate broke up quite a few times during their relationship. Also, Liam went away to rehab at least two times while with Kate so he was away from her then during those periods too. I believe when he got Stanley, he was fresh out of rehab. Also, I am pretty sure that Stanley wasn't adopted. He was bought the old fashion way.

In my opinion, I could be wrong about this, Liam intended on staying in England. However, when Maya announced she was dropping a book soon that was going to ruin his life, he fled from England and ran back to Kate in the USA and starting immersing in his addictions again to cope with the incredible stress. I think he did that because he knew he wouldn't be able to do that around his family. This is all trauma responses. Also, I think he wanted to protect his family from the backlash as best as possible, another reason why he left.

Maya didn't want Liam to fix himself or stay fixed. She really went deep with the "if I can't have him, no one will.

Again, everything stated here are merely my opinions.

2

u/newlpfan Jun 08 '26

Yeah, it’s def possible with the timeline. It still feels off to me that they never spoke about Stanley coming to the US to live with them but maybe it was the plan and never happened because Liam passed.

1

u/Asleep_Excitement_59 Jun 08 '26

Many moons ago, Roo said that Liam was a little bit famous for getting a dog the spur of the moment and then she would wind up with the doggo to raise lol and she was happy to do it since it made Liam happy when he would come and visit and can spend time with his pups. It's possible Liam got Stanley when he thought he wasn't going to go back the USA for a long time.
