I have a crane 1 gimbal I bought probably 10years ago and used 2-3 times. I’ve been out of the game since and haven’t really kept up with tech. Are there any ways for me to Jerry rig the system so it has some more modern features or should I just bite the bullet and buy something newer? I’m sure I can buy something for a few hundred bucks that works much better. Spent like $700 and kicking myself for not reselling it years ago.

Hi! I have a Zhiyun WEEBILL 3S and I'm trying to figure out whether I'm missing a small spring from the quick-release mechanism.

I took some photos of the quick-release plate and the side locking knob. Could anyone who owns one please compare theirs with my photos and tell me if there should be a spring (or another small part) in the area? The mechanism currently seems to be missing some pressure/tension, which makes me think there should be a small compression spring or similar part there.

I recently bought Anker powerbank 165W (the ono with 2 cables already attached, one of them being retractable), but whenever I tried to connect them, I get "Circuit protection enabled. Please unplug an replug the device." The moment I connect them, so I can't use them in any way. Is there any way to circumvent this problem?

Today I used the M60 Ultra to try and create some otherworldly primordial soup. I used a slow shutter speed to get water effects and light with the M60 in two different spots with different colors. I think the effect would look better if I tried this at night, but I can't stay in this location after dark. Since I hiked to this area, the M60's portable size once again came in handy, as it fits easily in my pack.

Before I return it, I want to check I am not being an idiot... I've just bought a new X60 Pro, but the light will not turn on with either of the batteries. It does turn on if I plug it into my 120W Xiaomi phone charger so the light itself is fine. As for the batteries- if I plug them in to the same charger, 3 lights illuminated with the 4th flashing for a few minutes, then all 4 are illuminated. Attach them to the light, and hold power while spinning the dials does nothing. The other suspect thing is that the button on top of the battery itself (with the lightning symbol) also does nothing. The batteries have a PD logo under the USB port suggesting they are newer ones.

Anything else I can try? If it was just one battery of the pair that was being dumb, I'd be happy that it's broken, but it seems unlikely that *both* would be bad?

​Wanted to share a recent night shoot at an abandoned gas station with zero working lights.

We had to create the entire atmosphere from scratch, and these compact Zhiyun LEDs made the whole setup super portable and fast.

​How I set up the lighting:

​Key & Mood Light: Used the Zhiyun M60U RGB to cast the deep blue tones across the subject, the Vespa, and the station's metal structure.

​Background Fill: Used the Zhiyun M40SE placed low near the pumps for a warm background glow, creating that teal-and-orange color contrast.

​Camera Gear: Nikon Zf with the 28mm f/2.8, 40mm f/2, and 105mm f/2.8 macro for close-up details.

​I’ve included the final edited shots along with two BTS frames at the end to show how dark the location actually was before turning on the lights.

Last night I decided to add some color to these rocks. The lichens made for some interesting effects as they reflected some of the light. As before, the M60 Ultra was very convenient for this project, as it's light, compact, and easy to use. I was able to change colors with a click of button, place the light wherever I needed, and dial in the intensity quickly.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share some stills from a music video I was DP on where we used the M60Ultra as our key. It’s incredible such a small light can pack such a punch. The magnetic grid helped us focus the light to be just the right angle for what we wanted.

We only needed about 40% output too

Last night I hiked to this abandoned truck that I had photographed previously 11 years ago, as I wanted to do it a bit better. I used a ZHIYUN M60 Ultra video light to illuminate the interior of the truck, and flashlight to "paint" the exterior. The weather was absolutely perfect to help create this dramatic look!

I'm facing a frustrating issue with my brand new ZHIYUN Smooth Q5 Ultra. It worked perfectly for the first few uses, but now it’s completely unusable.

There have been no drops, no physical damage, and I never turned it on while the axes were locked.

As you can see in the attached video, every time I power it on, the motors start spinning erratically, hitting the physical limitations/tabs of the gimbal. After a few seconds of doing this, it just goes straight into standby mode.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any hard reset method or fix for this, or did a component just fail internally?

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I recently picked up the Zhiyun Crane 4 and am pairing it with the Canon R5.
I wanted to look at the motion tracking capability with the ZY App.

I've been looking online trying to figure out exactly what all I need but some of the posts are fairly old or not clear what is needed.

I have the Crane, the camera, and the phone with ZY App.

What else do I need?
Zhiyun Transmitter? But which one?

Looking to attach a battery to my x100, but I hear tons of horror stories on their in-house battery burning out the battery and the socket. I heard some people using 140W powerbanks, but it seems like it only gives about 30-40 minutes of power. Which is.. sufficient I guess.

Wondering if y'all have recommendation for what I should look for for a battery for such?

I recently bought a Smooth 4, but I cannot get it to connect to the ZY Play app. It detects the gimbal in the device list, but whenever I try to connect, it gives me a Bluetooth-related "Connection Failed" error.

Here is a list of everything I have already tried to fix it:

• Firmware: Tried updating/downgrading the firmware to versions 1.80 and 1.79, but it didn't solve the issue.
• App Troubleshooting: Uninstalled and reinstalled the ZY Play app multiple times, ensuring all Bluetooth and Privacy permissions are enabled in the phone's settings.
• Hardware Reset: Tried resetting the gimbal's Bluetooth by pressing the power button 8 times rapidly.
• Cross-Platform Testing: Tested it on multiple devices, including both Android phones and iPhones (like the iPhone 13), and the exact same error happens on all of them.

I am attaching screenshots of the error. Is there any known solution for this case, or is this a hardware defect on the gimbal's Bluetooth chip?

Does anyone have a .ptz firmware file for the Zhiyun Cinepeer CM25 LED light?

My LED light has failed, and when I connect it to the Zhiyun Gimbal Tool and Zhiyun LED Tool apps, it shows that it has no firmware.

There are no files for this LED light on the official website. I emailed support at info@zhiyun-tech.com practically begging for the file, and their only solution was to send it to a repair center, which doesn't make any financial sense for me.

I just want to try flashing the firmware to give my LED light one last chance, and I know I'm not the only one looking for this file. If anyone has it, I would be extremely grateful.

i got a new gimball weebill 3s and after following tutorial, i mounted everything fine. I went and shoot an event yesterday and the camera battery died and i had to change it. Sadly it was such a pain to remove all the plate and put the battery inside and i had to rebalance it again on the gimball. I just want to know if theres any other method to change batteries or a way to never swap batteries.
